Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 1007

Rosalie sighed. "Seb, don't worry. I won't meet him in private. He has Aurora by his side now. How could I possibly have any interaction with him? Go back with peace of mind."

"Rose, promise me that you won't trust Theodore again. I'm really worried that he'll hurt you again."

Rosalie nodded. "I got it. I've seen through him. Don't worry about me. Go be busy with what you need to do."

Sebastian hugged her and bade her farewell.

The plane was about to take off.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

He soon left with the baby in his arms.

Rosalie watched them as they vanished out of her line of sight, and couldn't hold back her tears. She couldn't bear to leave her baby, and really wanted to fly back home with them.

However, she couldn't leave an injured Justin behind. She also had her studies to complete, so she had to make the difficult decision of staying in Melrine for a few more months.

Rosalie returned to the hospital feeling despondent.

Justin saw her return, and shot her a warm smile. "You're back."

Rosalie said, "Yeah. I just sent Sebastian and the baby off."

"You look quite sad. Why didn't you go back with them? Because of me?"

"Not entirely," Rosalie said, "I still have my studies to complete. This is a rare chance, and I don't want to give up on it so easily. Otherwise, I'll have to start all over again next time. I'll just have to buckle up and finish it all in one breath. It's just... I'm letting my baby down. I'm a bad mother-I didn't take care of him after giving birth to him.' *Rose, don't be too hard on yourself. You made the right choice. You can't keep sacrificing yourself even after you have a child. His father is taking care of him and it'll be fine. Don't worry."

Since things had come to this point, the only thing he could do was to comfort her with his words.

Justin's words made Rosalie feel much better. "Thank you for your encouragement. I apologize to you once again on Seb's behalf.""

"It's all over, just that he seems a little upset," Justin said.

*Something cropped up back home and he had to go back to deal with it. Perhaps that soured his mood," Rosalie replied.

"What I meant was..." Vincent began.

He wanted to say that there was something wrong with the look in Sebastian's eyes, but it seemed pointless to tell Rosalie about it. Rosalie was Sebastian's wife. What could she do even after knowing about that look in his eyes?

"Looks like you have a very good relationship with your husband."

Rosalie explained, "He's a very good friend of mine. He treats me very well and stayed by my side at my lowest and most miserable."

"Do you mean to say that you developed feelings for him, that's why you married him?"

Rosalie gave him a half-smile. "I"

"What's the matter?"

"Nothing," Rosalie said with a shake of her head. "No matter what, we're married now. We'll lead our lives well. I don't want to think about the future."

"I see," Vincent said.

He saw Rosalie hesitate just now, and thought there was a catch to their marriage.

After all, he overheard Rosalie calling Sebastian over the phone. She sounded so polite, they didn't seem like a normal married couple.

However, he might have been overthinking things now that he heard it directly from Rosalie.

"Oh yes, Justin. Did you have something to tell me before Seb came? Go on and tell me about it. I'm listening." Sebastian interrupted Justin before he was done talking.

Justin smiled weakly. "It's nothing much. I suddenly forgot what I wanted to say. I'll tell you about it when I recall it."

Rosalie nodded. "Alright."
