Chapter 1006
Sebastian appeared very genuine. His eyes were filled with guilt when he looked at Justin.
"It's fine. As long as you desire to protect Rose," Justin said flatly.
Sebastian's eyes narrowed, flashing briefly.
What did that mean?
Of course he desired to protect Rosalie! However, it wasn't Justin's place to comment on that.
Rosalie was his wife, how was she related to Justin? What was this man thinking, trying to lecture him? Even so, Sebastian didn't say much. He simply smiled and said, "Have a good rest. I'll be off."This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
Although it was only for a mere instant, Justin keenly caught the look in Sebastian's eyes. Despite that, he remained unperturbed.
Rosalie followed Sebastian back to their accommodation.
The baby was still there.
Rosalie kept holding him in her arms, unwilling to part with him. Throughout their journey to the airport, she kept carrying the baby, feeling terrible inside.
"I'm sorry. Mommy didn't take good care of you, and now I'm saying goodbye to you. But don't you worry! Once I'm done with everything in Melrine, I'll go back immediately. I'm sorry. Forgive Mommy. I'm really too busy. I'm so, so sorry."
Rosalie kept kissing the baby. "I'm sorry."
Time flew by. When they reached the airport, Rosalie burst out crying, knowing that it was time to bid her baby farewell.
"Seb, why don't I keep the baby with me?"
*Rose, don't be overly emotional, Sebastian said as he caressed her head. "You don't have time to take care of the baby even if he stays with you. That's not good for him, either. Leave him with me. Can't you trust me?" "Seb, of course, I can. I...I just can't bear to leave him. I haven't been taking care of him at all over the past few months. I feel so guilty."
'That's not your fault. It's amazing enough that you gave birth to him. If you really can't bear to leave the baby, come back with me. I'll have someone take care of Justin here."
"How could I do that? Not only do I have to take care of Justin, but I still have lessons to attend. If I go back, everything would have been in vain. I'll have to start all over again."
"In that case, I'll take the baby back. We'll see each other again soon. We'll video call each other, too. Once I finish up work, I might even bring the baby here again. You can also fly back to see him."
Rosalie caressed the baby's cheek. "Darling, goodbye. I've let you down. Once I'm done with things here and go back to you, I'll surely take good care of you. I'm sorry."
Rosalie felt extremely guilty.
She had gone through hell to give birth to her baby, but she couldn't take care of him personally and had to trouble Sebastian to help her raise him. She found herself an irresponsible and unworthy mother.
What's the point of just giving birth to a baby and not taking care of him? She wasn't a good mother in the slightest!
The baby was very obedient in the swaddle, seemingly unaffected by Rosalie's tearful goodbye. He was still too young, after all, and didn't know what a mother meant to him.
Sebastian took the baby over. "Rose, I'm leaving."
"Goodbye, Seb. I'll leave the baby in your hands. Thank you."
"Don't stand on ceremony, Rose."
Sebastian held her hand. "After I go back, will...will you meet Theodore alone?"
"Seb, why did you ask that?"
'Because Theodore is now in Melrine, and so are you. Now that I'm leaving, I'm worried that he'll harass you again.
