Chapter 69 Coax Me Like This
“Of course, I’m serious.”
Elijah replied earnestly, taking the opportunity to tease Cordelia while removing her clothes.
Cordelia tried to evade his hands and quickly put on Elijah’s bathrobe, tying the belt securely to avoid
any accident.
Surprisingly, the long sleeves of the bathrobe did seem somewhat fancy.
Before long, Cordelia picked up the violin and stood straight, instantly immersing herself into the
performance.
After a simple tuning, she began playing the prelude without hesitation, and the lively and passionate
melody filled the room.
Cordelia held the bow and played passionately, occasionally glancing up at her sole audience, smiling
confidently with a glint of sharpness in her eyes.
Elijah’s gaze, deep and intense, remained locked on the woman in front of him. He watched her
attentively, his eyes growing more profound with each passing note.
Until the last note faded away, the lingering resonance gradually subsided, the entire villa returned to
silence.
Elijah applauded her enthusiastically, getting up and approaching her.
“Are you satisfied now?” Cordelia looked at him with a smile.
She was quite satisfied with this violin, and that was why she had performed exceptionally well.
Elijah came up behind her, leaned in close to her ear, and encircled her waist. “Babe, you were
amazing!”
His words caused Cordelia’s face to redden from her cheeks to her ears.
“Elijah…” Cordelia called him in a soft voice.
Originally, she wanted to protest, but when the words left her lips, they came out far more flirtatiously
than intended.
Elijah leaned down and kissed her. Eventually, he lifted her and gently placed her on the sofa.
In the midst of emotional turmoil, Cordelia heard Elijah murmur softly by her car, “In the future, when
I’m upset, just coax me like this. I like it.”
Cordelia cursed him silently. However, her body was filled with happiness from his attentions.
The night was filled with both tenderness and passion.
The next morning, Jacob called Cordelia carly to express his
gratitude.
“Thank you so much for yesterday, Cordelia. Can I treat you to a meal?” Jacob asked.
Cordelia shifted in bed, feeling a bit sore, and declined, “Your gratitude is more than enough. You’ve
already paid me a generous fee. There’s no need for a meal.”
Jacob was really generous and paid her 200 thousand dollars for her performance. After all, Cordelia
used to perform for free.
Jacob was clearly disappointed, but he didn’t insist. He sincerely thanked her once again and asked if
she could chat with Mireya when she had time. Cordelia agreed.
After hanging up the phone, Cordelia tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t.
She checked her messages and learned that Eason had arrived in Beilve City.
She quickly called Eason and found out that he was staying in a hotel. They decided to have a meal
together.
Over lunch, they discussed some issues related to the establishment of the research institute. With the
financial
problems now resolved because of Elijah’s promise, Cordelia entrusted Eason with the remaining
responsibilities.
“Cordelia, are you free this afternoon? Would you like to accompany me to the golf course?” Eason Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
asked.
“Sure, I’m free this afternoon,” Cordelia replied with a smile.
So, after lunch, Cordelia accompanied Eason to the golf course to meet one of his senior colleagues, a
prominent figure in the business world.
After some brief pleasantries, Brett Wilson smiled approvingly at Eason. “Eason, it’s not easy for you to
persevere in the field of alternative medicine with such dedication. You’re truly promising and talented.”
Eason humbly replied, “I can’t take all the credit. It’s thanks to Cordelia’s help over the years.”
Cordelia smiled at him.”
As they exchanged glances, a sharp female voice suddenly interrupted them. “Mr. Wilson, I’ve missed
you so much!”
Cordelia turned her head and saw Eva in a wheelchair, with Elijah pushing her from behind.
