Uncontrollable Fondness

Chapter 28 Will Never Meet

Chapter 28 Will Never Meet

William stroked her hair affectionately and combed her curly hair ends with the other hand. He looked

down to cover up all the feelings, “Well, yes, it was a disease that can't be cured.”

Sophia had a kind heart since she was a child. She would be sad if she knew that he did something like

this. She is a pearl which he was holding tightly in his hand. He could only take good care of her,

without any slight damage.

“What a pity!” she sighed slightly, raising her face from his arms, "You shouldn’t be unkind to others,

William. She is my benefactor. I would have been done without her.”

Without her, Sophia wouldn’t get hurt. This is called one life for another. William nodded, “I know, your

health isn’t good, just leave these things to me.”

After lying in his arms for a long time, Sophia whispered again, “William, I want to go home tomorrow.

My parents knew that I was injured, and they called several times.”

“No, you haven’t recovered yet,” the domineering voice was full of petting. Sophia shook his arm with a

pitiful face, “Please, I feel better, and I want to go home too, please.” The soft words got into his heart

easily. William could no longer bear to refuse her request, and had to nod his head, “However, you

must go to the hospital after meeting your parents!”

“Okay,” her small face tightened and wrinkled into a ball. William saw this and felt a sudden burst of

heartache. He hugged her tighter, “Sophia, you had a rough time.”

“No, Sophia isn’t afraid of hardships,” trying to pretend to be strong and withdrawing from William’s

arms, Sophia slid out of the bed. “I have prepared several sets of clothes to go home, help me choose

which one is the best.” She opened the wardrobe, there were several sets of clothes that have been

matched.

William didn't want to step over and took out a set of sky-blue shawl lace skirt, “This one.”

“Blue?” Sophia pursed her lips.

William took it down and put it in front of her, “This is your favorite color, and it also matches your skin.”

“...” she didn’t say anything, just nodded obediently, “If William says that’s it, let it be.”

When Mia received a call from James Davies, she hurriedly rushed to the Huntington Hospital. A group

of people walked over in the aisle, they looked important. Mia leaned to stand near the wall but saw a

familiar shadow in the crowd: Sophia.

She was embraced like the moon that was hold by the stars, walking to the senior VIP ward. Next to

her was the devilish man, William Brown. He lowered his eyebrows and all his thoughts were with

Sophia. Naturally he didn’t notice her, standing in the corner.

Mia pressed her body tightly and put her hands on the face. She wasn’t without moving, hiding herself

deeper.

The shadow of James Davies appeared at the corner. He enthusiastically greeted William and Sophia

and talked to them, personally leading their way.

Did they... always know each other?

Mia’s thoughts became complicated, but she was still waiting carefully at the door of James’ office.

After half an hour, James finally appeared, rubbed his brows and nose with two fingers, and smiled to

her. Mia’s face turned red, and her heart was easily moved by his smile.

This was the only man in the world who could touch her heart.

Sitting comfortably in the office chair, James signaled Mia to sit down before handing her a copy of the

information, “I asked you to come here because I want you to do me a favor. One of my friends has

leukemia, and your bone marrow just matches hers, so...”

His intention couldn't be more obvious. He was asking her to donate hematopoietic stem cells, and

Mia’s mind quickly flashed a delicate and pale face. She opened her lips and asked tentatively, “Is it...

Sophia?”

“Exactly!”

If it was someone else, she would gladly agree, but that was Sophia. The woman who had a devilish

husband who made her suffer.

Why should she help? William almost took her heart for Sophia’s heart transplantation. She didn’t have

any reasons to help a murderer-like man to solve his problems.

“No!” Mia shook her head firmly. James raised his brows slightly and his face looked like he couldn’t

believe it, “Mia, this is a trivial matter for you.”

Without even thinking about it, she turned around and ran out. James ran out after her, “Mia, why is

that? You aren’t that kind of person who can't save someone else!”

Facing the wall, Mia took a few deep breaths before calming down the anger in her heart, “Professor

Davies, if it’s someone else, I will save this person. But her, I can't save her!”

“Mia!” James stepped forward to straighten her body and cast his bright eyes on her, “Because William

almost made you give your heart to Sophia, you don't want to do it, right?”

More than that. Shaking her body, Mia gritted her teeth and looked at him for a long, long time. In the

end, she still didn't have the guts to tell those things. In front of a young man she admired to speak out

of the shameless past, she really couldn't say it.

James’ hands were lying on his chest, and his narrow eyes full of emotions gleamed with unknown

light.

Mia wiped the tears from her face and apologized, “Professor Davies, I have made up my mind, I'm

sorry.”

“Where are you going?”

As she turned around, a satanic voice fell from the sky, and Mia’s body shook suddenly and almost

became unstable. Turning her head slowly, she saw a black shadow behind James, and the halo

enveloped him. He licked his lips and looked at her like a bloodthirsty monster.

William Brown…..

“William,” James greeted him. William came directly towards Mia, clenching his fists and saying, “You

have to donate bone marrow to my wife. Even if you don’t want, you have to!”

Mia was so scared that she turned pale. She didn't want to jump up and just ran away. Behind there

was William with a few men in black, following her closely. Around the corner, the stretcher bed slid

over, blocking most of the way. When Mia instinctively stepped aside, she saw a needle slide down

from someone’s dry and bloodless hand and heard the urgent conversation of the medical staff,

“Overdose, clean the blood immediately!”

Overdose? She stopped suddenly and looked at the needle that was rolling towards the corner.

“Grab her!” William’s angry voice was behind her, Mia didn't want to rush up, picking up the needle and Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

putting it into her blood vessel...

After pushing all the remaining drugs inside, she looked with a cold eye at William running to her and

said, “Do you still want this bone marrow? I'm a junkie now, and you think this bone marrow will save

your wife?"

“You!” William clenched his fists, his handsome face was dark and cold, and there was a billowing

flame in his eyes. His face looked like he was about to swallow her. James ran over and pulled Mia up,

“William, what she was injecting was drugs. We have to wait till her blood is clean to transplant bone

marrow.”

“Take her back!” With a wild roar, Mia was twisted and thrown into the car by the man in black. After

half an hour, she was locked in this empty room with a large mirror again.

She was back again! Gritting her teeth, she saw her pale ghostly face in the mirror!

The hair on her head has been plucked apart and flung wildly on her shoulders. Part of the hair was

soaked with sweat and stuck to her face and lips, looking as awkward as it could be.

Mia bit her lips, and her mouth filled with salty liquid. She stubbornly forced her tears back. It's no use

crying when you’re fighting the devil. Even if she died, she wouldn’t donate her bone marrow to this

demon's relatives!

Jumping up from the bed, her body was weak, and she fell to the ground. She took the bed sheets and

bit them with her teeth. Finally, the sheets were torn apart, and she tried her best to climb the window,

hanging them on the curtain rod.

She twisted a knot, put the rope on her neck, closed her eyes, jumped down the window and hung

herself up.

“Oh, she’s going to die!” There was the sound of broken dishes and people screaming in the distance.

The rope blocked the air, and Mia slowly closed her eyelids.

In the dizziness, someone picked up her legs, and the restraint on her neck loosened. Her body fell into

the bed. Rebecca Johnson voice came in daze, “Hurry up and call the boss!”

The sky was dark, and the lights were bright. After the accident, she didn’t stay alone even for a

moment. The servants took turns guarding her, guarding her like a thief.

After waking up, she saw the needle on her body and the dripping liquid. Rebecca said yes to the man

at the door. Was it William? He knows she wants to die, so how can he still be so calm? Her life isn’t

important, but his wife's life is too important!

She grinned her lips ironically and smiled weakly. A flower has been dried up long ago, nothing but

emptiness and despair will come out of her eyes.

William’s black face appeared at the door, and his whole body exuded the cold breath. The servants

got up and retreated one after another. There were only two people left in the big room.

Mia, who was lying on the bed, looked at William standing on the ground, and her lips hooked without

much emotion.

William rushed over, tightening her wrist for a while.

“Hmm!” Her bones almost broke, Mia was sweating with pain, but she forced a smile, “Pinch it off...

Maybe I can die of pain if you break it, huh...”

“Wanna die? Not so easy!” The wrist bounced back under the action of gravity. William bit his teeth

again and finally didn’t torture her anymore. He turned his back to her with an icy air, and he calmed

down for a quarter of an hour before suppressing the murderous anger.

Mia looked at his back contemptuously and giggled weakly, “There are thousands of ways to die,

William, in order not to let you succeed. I will definitely try my best to die for you!”

“You!” With a sharp turn, William grabbed her hair in annoyance, and stared at her fiercely, “Wow, I will

find someone to bury with you before you die! Your father Sam Charles will do!”

“You’re... despicable!” Mia scolded fiercely, breathing heavily. Although her father was unfair to her, she

couldn't be so unkind. How to say, he’s also raised her more than ten years, can she helplessly watch

him to die? The kindness of nature destined that she could not ignore her father's life. She pinched her

hand again and again and finally silenced.

William nodded with great satisfaction. He didn't expect to take away her thoughts of seeking death

with this simplicity. Mia raised her eyelids slightly and exclaimed, “Wait a minute!”

He didn’t move, waiting for her words.

Mia closed her eyes and said firmly, “After donating the bone marrow, you will send me away. We don’t

owe anything each other and we will never meet again!”
