Chapter 26 Call Log
Chapter 26 Call Log
After receiving the message, Catherine finished her work and drove to the dormitory of the crew.
"Knock, knock, knock." Someone knocked on the door.
Lying on the bed, Muriel didn't want to move. So she demanded, "Lydia, open the door please."
Lydia walked over and opened the door. When she saw Catherine standing outside, she bowed
respectfully and greeted, "Hi, Ms. Catherine."
"Hi." Catherine replied coldly. She bypassed Lydia and walked straight to the bedside of Muriel. She
reached out her hand to Muriel and said, "Give me your phone."
"What?" Muriel looked away from the phone and saw Catherine looking at her expressionlessly.
Out of the corner of Catherine's eye, she observed whether Muriel's fingers pressed the screen or not.
Since she had no patience to answer Muriel's question, she directly stepped forward and grabbed the
phone from her hand.
Lydia saw at Muriel wearing a faint smile on her face, not sure about whether she was happy or angry.
Catherine took over Muriel's phone and saw that she was playing some music game. She quit the
game and examined her phone.
There was no inappropriate content in the message, and the photo album was normal or abnormal.
Normally, there were no indecent pictures in the album. But strangely, there were no selfies, no
gourmet photos, no clothes or bags photos.
Catherine scrolled to the cloud photo album, but there was nothing in it. She stretched out her finger
and dragged down the empty cloud album. The screen suddenly jumped, showing: please set the
password of the private album.
It seemed that Muriel didn't find a private photo album in her mobile phone. There should be no
problem with her photo album. Catherine thought to herself.
Catherine also checked the private file in the document management application, but didn't find
anything unusual.
Catherine threw the phone on the bed, glanced at Muriel who was already sitting up and turned to
Lydia, "Give me her bag."
Lydia looked at Muriel with fear first and then handed her bag to Catherine obediently.
Muriel put away her phone and looked at Catherine, who was searching for something inside her bag.
She would like to see what Catherine intended to find here.
Catherine put down the bag, looked sharply at Muriel and asked, "I have let the telecommunication
company check your new phone number. It was registered last month. What is your previous number?"
"Why do you ask this?" Muriel asked with a smile.
"I need to know everything about you. This will decide whether I will give you my full support or not. I
don't want to give my support to people who I can't trust completely." Catherine said bluntly.
With a smile on her face, Muriel thought for a while and told Catherine a phone number. Catherine
wrote down the phone number and called somebody, "Hello, please help me check a phone number
and send me the call log of the past two years. "
After the phone call, Catherine waited for the result. Without saying a word, Muriel picked up the phone
and continued to play with the games. Looking at the two people who were so calm, Lydia quietly tried
to minimize her sense of existence.
Just now, when she wantonly flipped through her things, Muriel had always been quiet, polite and calm.
She was a good youngster worth cultivating.
Soon, Catherine received a message from her friend on WeChat. The owner of this phone number was
indeed Muriel. it had been used for several years, but the call logs were short. She could count it with
one hand.
Confused, Catherine looked at Muriel and asked, "Why do you have so few call logs?"
"I don't need to call anyone either." Muriel shrugged innocently.
"Uh... Why don't you call your friends? "
"I don't have friends."
Catherine continued, "Why don't you call your parents?" NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
"Puff!" Muriel burst into laughter, "Ms. Catherine, I seem to have told you that my parents have passed
away for many years."
Catherine was stunned, lowered her eyes and said, "Sorry, it escaped my mind."
"Look into my eyes." Catherine looked straight into Muriel's eyes and asked, "Do you really have no
boyfriend, no marriage, no illegitimate child?"
"I really don't have a boyfriend, I'm not married, I really don't have an illegitimate child!" Muriel
answered calmly.
"Okay, I believe you this time."
"Ring, ring, ring."
Catherine's phone rang. She was a little surprised when she answered it. "Okay, I'll convey it to Muriel.
I'll ask my assistant to get the script later. Thank you."
After hanging up the phone, Catherine looked at Muriel in disbelief and said, "You're lucky. Director
Quentin wanted you to play the leading role of Storm."
"What? Isn't that Culbert's role? "
Catherine explained, "Culbert needs to receive education for six months. The crew won't wait for him,
so they have to change the actor. Now the staff of Storm told me that the script has been revised.
Everyone agreed that you are suitable to play the leading role, and the contract will be signed again,
and the pay will be five times the previous one. "
Some actors had been in the entertainment circle for several years, but still could only play small roles
in various crews. However, Muriel ascended from a stand-in to a leading actor with a blink of an eye.
This was rare and incredible. Not everyone could have such good luck. Catherine was more and more
confident that she could make Muriel a star!
Lindy, who just finished an interview with a fashion magazine, took the water from her assistant's hand
and took a sip slowly.
Her assistant, Jesse, handed the script to her excitedly and said, "Lindy, this is the new script of
Storm."
"A new script?"
"Well, Culbert has been arrested, which has completely affected the shooting progress. XR Group
invested in this movie, so the director simply asked the scriptwriter to change the script. And Muriel
played the leading antagonist. Cool... "
Seeing the gaze from Lindy, she shut up with a guilty conscience.
"Are you my assistant or Muriel's assistant?" Lindy sat in her resting van unhappily. She was disgusted
at the thought that Muriel would be her acting partner in this play.
"That's awesome. The mastermind behind Muriel is really capable. As soon as something happened to
Culbert, she was recommended immediately. Humph!" Lindy put the script aside and was not in the
mood to read it.
Noticing the expression on Lindy's face, The assistant explained for Muriel, "Lindy, it's said that Muriel's
role was approved by the director, scriptwriter and producer at the meeting. Since everyone thinks that
this role is suitable for Muriel, she shouldn't have bribed anyone to play this role."
Besides, Director Quentin is famous for his sternness in the entertainment circle. Nobody dares to
arrange such an important role casually. I heard that the new script is very interesting. Do you want to
read it first? " Seeing that Lindy's face returned calm, the assistant breathed a sigh of relief.
