The Divorced Heiress Is Entering a New Marriage Chapter 61

Chapter 0061

Elena. Mother–fucking Elena.

I was raging.

To my surprise, Dylan walked up behind me as soon as I read the last word on the open document. “Oh my god,” he said, freezing in his tracks.

“Dylan!” I said, momentarily forgetting about the mess in my excitement that he was there. He hadn’t messaged me since he saw the surveillance video the day before, and I was beginning to wonder if I’d ever see or hear from him again.

“Hazel, what happened?” He asked, the shock on his face growing as he took in the sight in front of him.

Oh, right, the mess. “…I don’t know. I just got back from lunch and found it this way,” I said, my attention suddenly brought back to the current situation.

“Who would do such a thing?” He shook his head, his eyes wide and his brows knitted together in disbelief.

That I did know. “See that bitch behind you? The one smirking at us?” I pointed to Elena, who was not at all trying to hide her laughter. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

Dylan turned and looked. He glared at her. Elena shook her head when she saw the look on his face, suddenly feigning innocence.

“Excuse me,” Dylan said to me. He stormed over to Elena and slammed his hands down on her desk. She jumped and the smirk immediately disappeared from her face.

“Hey there,” Dylan said, the fake–nice oozing from his words. “Did you do that to my friend’s desk over

there?”

“No,” Elena said with a huff.

“No? Because your laughter says otherwise.”

“I didn’t do a dawn thing.” Elena narrowed her eyes at him. “And you can’t prove otherwise.”

“Oh, but I can. And I will. And if you ever harass Ms. Whitaker again, I’ll be sure to help her sue you for everything you’ve got. I am very well versed on the laws on harassment in the workplace,” Dylan smiled at her. He took out a business card from the inside of his pocket and handed it to her “Did I mention I’m a lawyer?”

Elena took the card and looked it over, her face as white as a ghost.

“Nice meeting you,” Dylan said. He walked back over to me.

My heart skipped a beat as I watched him walk back to me. I saw the scene playing out in slow motion. He ran one hand through his hair and stuck the other in his pocket. He looked me in the eyes, gave me a half smile, then shyly looked at the ground. I wanted to grab his face and press my lips to his for as long as he would let me.

I pulled my small notebook from my purse and fanned my face. It was suddenly very, very hot in that

office.

“I don’t think she’ll be bothering you again,” Dylan said once he reached me.

I meant to respond. But all I could focus on was those lips that his words had just come from. I imagined myself grabbing the front of his suit jacket and pulling him in to the work rest area to uh, thank him.

“Haze? You okay?” Dylan interrupted my thoughts.

“Uh, yeah,” I shook the image from my head and blushed. “If you keep saving me like this I’m never going to be able to repay you.”

He laughed. God he was sexy when he laughed. “Well, maybe you can start your repayment by joining me

Logan ran up just before Dylan could finish his thought. He looked as frustrated as I felt by the

interruption.

“Oh my god,” Logan’s eyes grew wide as he

I at the mess that was my desk. “Do you think this was…

I nodded. “Yeah, I have no doubt that it was Elena.”

“I’ve already taken care of it,” Dylan said, annoyed.
