Chapter 520
Chapter 520
Allison flashed a smile. I haven’t exactly had a horde of guys chasing after me, you know.”
Emma retorted, “Then they’re clearly as blind as bats.”
Allison chuckled. “Emma, maybe you’re just too biased.”
Allison always thought of herself as an average-looking girl. As a child, she was a Cinderella of sorts.
She resembled Penelope, but Penelope was the real princess, always dressed in pretty dresses,
commanding attention wherever she stood.
At twenty past ten in the morning, Allison and Emma left Epic Entertainment.
–
Allison suggested a trip to the supermarket to stock up on some groceries for a dinner they planned to
make a fondue night, something she used to do often. They strolled down the aisles. Their shopping
cart was filled with a variety of ingredients. Little did they know that Allison was about to be
recognized.
A high-school-aged girl approached them, brandishing her phone. “Are you Allison?”
Allison froze for a moment, glancing at Emma. “Yes, I am,” she replied, nodding and giving a small
smile.
The girl seemed rather excited. “Could I get your autograph?”
Allison obliged, signing her name on the girl’s notebook.
Clutching the notebook close to her chest, the girl gushed, “You’re so beautiful! I hope you make more
movies. I’ll always be rooting for you.”
Allison was touched. This was a first for her. “Thank you,” she murmured.
More and more people began to recognize her, gathering around. Allison and Emma quickly left the
supermarket..
“Sorry, I didn’t take this into account,” Emma apologized.
They hadn’t expected that their appearance at last night’s banquet would catapult Allison into the
spotlight. Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Back in her apartment, Allison looked at the half-bought groceries and decided to order the rest online
through Instacart. Emma contacted Patty, who promptly assigned two bodyguards to Allison.
Meanwhile, the hashtag #AllisonSupermarketSighting’ was quickly trending on Twitter. The person who
filmed the video declared, [I swear I didn’t apply any beauty filters. You can tell by comparing Allison
with the people around her. Her beauty is just unbelievable.]
[Is this her bare face? A bare-faced goddess!
[This is what a real bare face looks like, no eyebrows drawn, no eye makeup!]
[God, can someone be this beautiful without makeup?]
[She’s so slim, yet her body shape is fantastic! How is that possible?]
[Allison has such long legs!]
[I declare her as my new crush. I love beautiful ladies.]
[I want to get the same outfit as hers.]
[I have a similar hoodie. My mom said I looked like a ragpicker in it, but it looks amazing on Allison.]
[Her voice is so gentle.]
Within two hours, the video had over 15 million views, and Allison’s Twitter followers skyrocketed.
Allison was astonished.
Meanwhile, Penelope, scrolling through the praises for Allison, was seething.
Upstairs in the Flanagan mansion, Penelope lay on her bed, scrolling through Twitter. The praises
lavished upon Allison made her so furious she wanted to throw her phone away.
Why should a lowly maid receive such adulation?
She sat up, quickly applied her makeup, and changed into an expensive dress she liked. This limited-
edition dress cost a five-figure sum. Leaning against the window sill, Penelope struck a pose and
snapped a picture. She edited it, applied a filter, and uploaded it to her own Twitter account.
