Chapter 679
Chapter 679 Relapsing Into A Coma
Gerald was overjoyed when he heard it. He then said hurriedly, "Dad, I'll take care of Eliana. Let me help you deal with her."
His eagerness made Earle suspicious.
Earle slowly came back to his senses, and he felt that something was wrong.
He knew Gerald very well. Gerald might be planning something bad now that he was so energetic.
Despite his disappointment with Maurice, Earle could not trust Gerald.
"No, you don't have to. Go and ask Aleck to come in. I'll let him handle it. It's a perfect opportunity for him to make amends."
Earle was in a fit of anger just a while ago, but he still believed in Aleck.
Even if Maurice bought Aleck off, Earle believed that his grandson did not want to destroy the Moran family. He was just blinded by his love for Eliana.
Maurice would return to normal once Eliana was gone.
Gerald was furious upon Earle's order. Although he successfully made Earle hold grudge against Eliana, but he still failed to earn his trust.
Why?
Why did Earle choose to believe Maurice despite seeing him do something wrong?
Gerald couldn't take it any longer and revealed his true character. "It's unfair!" he screamed angrily. "Dad! I'm your son. Why do you treat Maurice and me differently? You haven't changed at all. Just as you always thought highly of my brother while ignoring me!"
Gerald had been thinking this way for many years.
Earle sensed Gerald's anger and resentment in his words. He was even more disappointed in him.
Suddenly, his heart twitched. He relapsed because of anger.
"Gerald, stop your nonsense. Now hand me the medicine bottle on the table!"
Gerald was still caught up in his own emotions and turned a deaf ear to Earle's request. "Dad, just admit it. You are biased!"
Earle's heart ached more and more. He covered his chest with his hand and struggled to reach for the medicine bottle in front of him.
Gerald, however, knocked the bottle over.
"Bang!" The white medicine bottle rolled to the corner.
When Aleck came out of the living room, he ran into Nancy.
Nancy approached him after noticing he didn't appear well and < asked, "Aleck, what happened? You look bad."
Aleck lowered his head and confessed, "Mrs. Moran, I'm sorry. I made a mistake and Mr. Moran is angry with me."
Upon hearing it, Nancy breathed a sigh of relief and comforted him. "Aleck, don't worry. You've been serving the Moran family for many years, and we've already treated you like family. He just has a bad temper. When he calms down, he will forgive you."
Aleck smiled bitterly. "I'm afraid it won't be as simple as that. This is about something significant. Eliana..."
Before he could even finish speaking, a loud noise roared in the living room.
"There's something wrong!"
The two were startled and rushed into the living room.
Earle was in a coma on the sofa, his face pale.
Gerald looked terrified as he clutched Earle in his arms.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
"Earle!"
"Mr. Moran!"
Nancy and Aleck rushed over in an instant.
"What's wrong, Earle? Don't scare me!"
Nancy held Earle's hand in panic, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Aleck wanted to check Earle's condition, but Gerald pushed him away.
"How could you have the face to come back? You and Maurice conspired with each other to make my father so angry that he relapsed!" he yelled angrily.
At a loss, Nancy shouted anxiously, "Doctor! Call the doctor! And Maurice! Tell him to go back!"
Gerald immediately stopped her, pretending to be sad, and said, "You can't tell him that! Before my father passed out, he said that he did not want to see Maurice again. He also mentioned that if Maurice married Eliana, the Moran family would not leave him any property, not even a penny!" ⚫
"How is that possible?"
Nancy was taken aback. They were still talking about Maurice and Eliana's wedding ceremony yesterday. Why did Earle suddenly change his attitude?
Aleck was perceptive, and he sensed something was wrong. He took out his phone and was about to call Maurice.
But Gerald quickly noticed what he was doing and ordered his men to stop him, "Knock him out!"
His men charged forward, knocking Aleck out and dragging him away.
Before Nancy could react, the doctor arrived.
Earle was given first aid by the doctor and then was carried into the car to the hospital.
Nancy hurriedly got into the car as well.
The car was speeding down the road, but Nancy was taken aback when she realized that they were not on their way to the hospital.
