Chapter 448
Chapter 448
Mia pouted, an expression of discontent playing across her face. “You always said that the three of us
together means nothing but trouble. So, what happened suddenly?”
Andre slightly regretted his words. “Chad’s away, and I’m sure Molly misses him. As her friend, you
should pay her a visit.”
Mia considered his suggestion and nodded. “Alright. Molly hasn’t tasted my cooking yet. I’ll visit her
tomorrow at lunch.”
Andre sighed internally, feeling guilty for his sister.
The next day, Andre received a phone call. “Honey, are you hungry?”
“I have a business meeting later.”
Mia sounded disappointed. “I’ve cooked a meal and was planning to have the maid bring it to you.
Since you’re busy, I’ll have the driver take me to Molly’s place.” She added, “Don’t drink too much at
your meeting, honey. I’ll come to find you in the afternoon.” Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
After ending the call, Andre let out a breath of relief, already planning his afternoon strategies. An hour
later, Andre’s phone rang again. He glanced at his office monitor, checking if Mia was there. Upon
seeing that she wasn’t, he answered, “I’m in a meeting…”
“Honey, I swear, I didn’t start the fight.” Mia’s words instantly tensed Andre up. “Where are you?” he
asked urgently, getting up from his chair.
Mia hesitated, “At Chade Inc., but… the police are here. Not for me though. Don’t worry, and don’t
panic…” By the end, it seemed like Mia was trying to comfort her husband more than herself.
When Andre arrived at Chade Inc., he found a few individuals scattered around the conference room.
There were also two police officers present.
Among the familiar faces, there was a man Andre had heard of, seated next to a woman who bore a
striking resemblance to him. The woman had lettuce and various spices on her hair, and scratches on
her face. She was visibly in pain, with one of her eyes seemingly unable to open.
Seeing her husband, Mia quickly stood up and pulled her driver, who was her witness, over to explain.
“Honey, I didn’t start it. I was just delivering something to Molly. If you don’t believe me, ask the driver.
He was there.”
Andre took a seat, asking his sister, “Are you hurt?”
“Not hurt, but it hurts,” Molly replied, without any pretense.
Mia explained, “You know I came here to bring Molly lunch. When the driver and I arrived, we saw
someone arguing with Molly at the entrance, and then they started fighting…”
It turned out, Jack’s relentless pursuit of Molly was discovered by Cecilia. Moreover, Cecilia found out
from her son that Molly was aloof and often scolded him. Filled with anger, Cecilia barged into Chade
Inc. to confront Molly.
Initially, Molly ignored this madwoman and had the security guards escort her out. This move triggered
Cecilia’s quarrelsome nature, and she started scuffling with the guards, shouting, “If you touch me
again, I’ll have my son buy this company. Believe it or not?”
The CEO of Ashford Inc. had to bow to the CEO of Chade Inc., so the security guards couldn’t help but
laugh at the ignorant woman’s threat.
While being escorted out, Cecilia was shouting at Molly, “Jade, you’re a slut, just like your mother.
You’re ruining my son’s life after your mother ruined my husband’s. You’re all the same, shameless
women.”
The commotion outside quickly reached Molly. “What did she say? She insulted my mother!” Unable to
control her temper, Molly rushed downstairs.
Meanwhile, Jack was informed about his mother causing a scene at Chade Inc. He was already
stressed about a textile factory issue.
Coleen, a seemingly gentle woman, was secretly plotting against him. The most important thing in the
clothing industry was fabric, and Coleen took advantage of this. The batch of fabric Jack had set his
sights on was taken by Chade Inc..
Upon learning about his mother’s antics, Jack rushed to the scene. What he saw was two women
fighting fiercely. Chade Inc.’s security guards restrained his mother while Molly was scratching her face.
He quickly rushed forward to hold Molly back.
It was summer, and their clothes were thin. Jack’s hand accidentally touched Molly’s chest. Molly
turned around and slapped him across the face. “What the fuck are you doing?”
Her son was getting slapped, Cecilia was even more infuriated and lunged towards Molly. At that
moment, Mia arrived and saw the escalating situation. Thinking quickly, she opened the lid of her
thermos and handed the boiling hot meatball soup to her best friend. “Molly, catch!”
Before Molly could even register Mia’s presence, she caught the thermos and threw the scalding soup
onto Cecilia’s face.
An audible sizzle could be heard as the hot soup made contact with her skin. “Ahhhhh!” Cecilia’s
screams filled the air.
Coleen arrived in the nick of time to put an end to the chaos.

waste.” Content of Draмąոovels.com
Molly glanced at Cecilia’s face, feeling relieved that she hadn’t tasted the explosive dish herself.
Molly fired back, “Officer, I want to press charges. Jack has been harassing me. If anyone needs to be
arrested, it’s him.”
