Eleanor was caught off guard when Gloria suddenly yanked her, making her stumble as she was pulled off balance. 'What kind of nonsense is she up to now?' she thought.
Gloria's eyes were red, and she looked pitiful. "Eleanor, I'm so sorry. It was my first time acting, and I didn't gauge my performance well. I didn't mean to cause you trouble. Please don't be mad, okay?"
Eleanor rolled her eyes. She thought, 'She hadn't acted this well earlier, but now she was putting on quite the performance. And had I even shown any signs of being angry?' Taking a deep breath, she suppressed the urge to slap Gloria. "I'm not angry. Let go. I need to get into position."
"But you look so mad, Eleanor." Gloria started to fake sob.
Seeing Eleanor's grim expression, Zane assumed she had scared Gloria and hurried to speak up for her. "Ellie, it's Gloria's first time acting. Just let it go, for my sake."
Eleanor was speechless. She thought, 'For his sake? Who gave him the right to make such a request? Hadn't I just said I wasn't angry? Were these two incapable of understanding human speech? It's easy for them to say. They should try crying through seven or eight scenes in a row and see how it feels."
Zane didn't know Gloria that well, but Eleanor had dealt with her long enough to understand exactly what she was doing. Gloria was a master at looking fragile and tugging at people's heartstrings to get what she wanted.
But filming was the priority now, and Eleanor had no interest in indulging Gloria's little act. She tried to yank her arm away with a slightly strong pull and said, "Let go."
Gloria, however, suddenly fell backward as Eleanor "pulled too hard" to free her arm. Behind Gloria was a huge swimming pool, recently filled to the brim for a scenic shot in the movie.
Gloria screamed as she tumbled into the water, sending up a big splash. "Help! Help! I can't swim. Someone save me." Eleanor froze, and before she could process what had happened, she had already jumped into the pool.
The entire crew stood in stunned silence at the sudden turn of events. Victor was the first to snap out of it. "What are you all standing around for? Someone save her!" he yelled.
But before Victor could finish, a figure had already dived into the pool with a splash.
Oscar stared at the suit that had somehow ended up in his hands, dumbfounded. He thought, 'The person who just jumped in was Mr. Lloyd?'
As soon as Eleanor hit the water, she realized something was off. The pool was unusually full, probably because the crew had added extra water to make the scene look better. But that wasn't the real issue. The real issue was that she knew how to swim. So why had her limbs gone stiff, like she'd been sucked into a giant whirlpool, unable to move?
Eleanor thought, 'What's happening?' She frantically thrashed, trying to keep her head above water to call for help. But the water's resistance was too strong, and after a few desperate attempts, she lost strength and started to sink. The air in her lungs dwindled, and her consciousness began to fade.
Eleanor thought, 'Oh no... Am I really going to die here today? I shouldn't have gotten involved.*Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
At this moment, Eleanor heard a loud splash. She thought, 'Who jumped in? Are they coming to save me?' Her eyes barely fluttered open
Eleanor saw a white figure swimming furiously towards Gloria. She thought, 'So, they're saving Gloria...' She felt her body grow heavy, exhaustion pulling her down. Just as she was about to give in and close her eyes, a sudden force grabbed her wrist, and a soft sensation pressed against her lips.

wed,
A rush of fresh oxygen filled Eleanor's mouth, snapping her back to reality. 'He's saving me,' she realized, her survival instinct kicking in hard. She wrapped her arms tightly around the man's neck, clinging to him like a lifeline. Her legs locked around his waist, her lips hungrily drawing in the air he gave her
Eleanor didn't care how intimate or awkward her position was. All she wanted was to survive.
At this moment, Stephen wasn't faring much better. Eleanor's lips were, soft and sweet, tightly pressed against his as she desperately drew in oxygen. Her clothes were soaked through, clinging to her body, exposing her slender waist. It was slimn enough that his hand could wrap around it entirely. Her long, delicate legs were wrapped around his waist, relying on him entirely.
Eleanor looked like a water nymph, enchanting and seductive, as if she were drawing out Stephen's life force and stealing his soul.
Stephen's mind was blank. For the first time, he felt his usual composure slip away. He held Eleanor in his arms, his eyes filled with a dangerous, barely contained desire.
They began to sink deeper into the water as Stephen's overwhelming instincts took hold, enveloping Eleanor in a wave of possessiveness. He didn't want to hold back any longer; he wanted her. The palm cradling Eleanor's waist grew hot with his rising desire. But just then, a wave of shouts erupted from above, accompanied by the splash sound as people jumped into the water. "Mr. Lloyd? Are you alright?"
Another shouted, "Mr. Lloyd, we've sent people to help. Hold on"
The chaos jolted Stephen back to reality. He looked down at Eleanor in his arms. Her face was drained of color from fear and lack of oxygen. She looked like she might die at any moment.
Stephen cursed himself inwardly. 'What was I thinking? How could I have been so lost in the moment, actually considering staying underwater like that?' His eyes cleared instantly. Tightening his hold on Eleanor, he violently kicked off, propelling them both to the surface. As soon as they emerged, Victor rushed forward, handing
over towels while the on-set doctor hurried to check on them.
Oscar jogged over, draping a suit jacket over Stephen's shoulders. "Mr. Lloyd, would you like to head back and change? The temperature's dropping tonight."
Stephen glanced at Eleanor, who was now awake but still dazed. He pressed his lips, his eyes unreadable. After a long pause, he said, "Let's go back." "Alright, Mr. Lloyd," Oscar replied.
Eleanor coughed nonstop. She felt like she was about to cough up her lungs.
Grace, her eyes red from crying, handed Eleanor a glass of water, trembling all over. "Eleanor, why would you do something so stupid? There were so many people here, and you can't even swim. Why did you jump in? You nearly scared me to death." Everything had happened so fast that Grace had been too stunned to react. Now that it was over, the fear rushed back, overwhelming her.
Eleanor, regaining her composure, gently patted Grace's trembling fingers. "I'm fine. Don't worry. See? I made it out alright." She lowered her head to take a sip of the water, but the moment her lips touched the glass, a sharp sting hit her. She hissed, wincing from the sudden pain.
