Chapter 90
Chapter 90
“Bradley, this is the last time I’m tolerating you.” A tear
slowly slid down the corner of Jasper’s eye as he choked back his sobs and
said, “I’m not afraid of you, nor am I helpless against you. It’s just that I want her to wake up.”
Jasper reached out to wipe away the tear on his face and left hastily. He seemed to be afraid of his we
akness being discovered as he walked fast with hurried steps.
There was only boundless loneliness in the spacious hospital room as various medical instruments emi
tted piercing sounds in the quiet room.
Bradley suppressed the panic in his heart and walked up to
Esther. He held a hand over his pounding heart and threatened fiercely, “Esther, my
patience is limited. If you don’t wake up, I’ll send your daughter to meet you personally.”
Esther remained in a deep sleep on the hospital bed.
She felt as if she were locked in a dark room with no trace of light. It was complete darkness all around
her. She stumbled like a blind person, groping and moving forward in the pitch- black room.
Suddenly, a door opened in the distance, and a beam of light shone through.
Esther instinctively shielded her eyes from the intense light, only getting adjusted to the brightness after
a while, and ran toward the direction of the light with all her might like a child. She ran, following the dir
ection of the light.
There were various scenes around the beam of light. In those scenes,
she was youthful, radiant, and dazzlingly beautiful.
The man she had once loved with all her might repeatedly pushed her into an abyss of
despair. She had loved so passionately, only to be covered in wounds.
If given a chance to start over, Esther would rather never have loved him.
No, she would rather have never met him.
“Esther, I’m counting to three. If you don’t wake up, I’ll kill her!”
Bradley looked at the tear that slowly rolled down Esther’s face on the hospital bed. He could not help
but joyfully hold Esther’s hand.
“One, two, three…‘

Before the sound of the word “three” fell, Esther suddenly opened her eyes as if there was telepathy. H
er clear and bright gaze fell on Bradley’s handsome face. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
She looked at him in silence, her eyes reflecting a glimmering galaxy. In her gaze, there was no endles
s hatred or hysterical
resentment.
Her eyes were pure and clean, like a pristine mountain spring.
“Brad.”
Bradley tightly held Esther’s hand, his voice stern. “Esther, what trick are you playing now?”
Upon hearing Bradley’s words, Esther’s beautiful eyes
immediately welled up with wetness, and she tearfully accused
him, “Brad, you’re so mean to me!”
