Chapter 1998 What’s Your Name?
Rosalie talked about her past like a narrator in old movies.
Byron, as an exchange student, was overqualified. His responsibility was to go to an ordinary high school and find out the differences in teaching, including the school atmosphere and classroom order.
However, he was only 16 years old and did not care.
Probably because he thought regular high school classes were boring, he would skip classes and leave early.
One time, as usual, he had an arrangement with Andrius and Lucas to go to a commercial exhibition. So, he sneaked out of the classroom after the first period.
At that time, the school was so strict that security guards guarded several gates, and he had to climb over a wall beside the school library.
Unexpectedly, there were iron nails on the top of the wall. He hurt his hand, fell, and sprained his ankle, making him look pathetic.
Rosalie was a student with outstanding results and would stay in the library during recess periods.
That day, she was so absorbed in reading that she missed more than an hour of class. After realizing it, she hurried to the classroom.
Then, she met Byron.
Rosalie had never seen such a handsome man in her life.
She had never seen a man in such a distressed state either. Byron checked his legs and bleeding hand while in great pain.
“Hey, can I help you? What happened to your hand? We have to stop the bleeding and prevent it from getting infected!” Rosalie remembered what she said.
It was the first time in her life that she had spoken to Byron. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Byron nodded, and he looked at Rosalie. His gaze did not stop at her for long.
Rosalie reminded him not to move so much and headed back to the library to get a medical kit. It had all kinds of first aid materials.
So, with Rosalie’s help, Byron’s wound was sterilized, and the bleeding was stopped.
However, he sprained his ankle badly and hurt his tendon.
Byron would never have thought that a high school girl would be professional enough to fix the tendon of his calf back to its original position.
At that time, he deeply remembered the girl’s profile and that strand of hair swaying with the breeze.
“Alright! It’s better to get an anti-infection jab and not strain your leg for a week.” Rosalie smiled and returned to the library to put the medical kit back in its place.
Byron thought Rosalie would return to him, but she went to class instead.
However, she remembered his features deeply. After all, he was handsome, and it was difficult to forget him.
After that incident, he would wait for her at the library but never saw her around.
One day, Byron skipped class and went to bury the wish bottles with Andrius.
When passing by the library, he met Rosalie again.
“What’s your name?” he asked casually.
Rosalie noticed the empty wish bottle and asked, “Byron Lawrence, I know your identity. May I know what that is?”
She pointed at the wish bottle.
‘You know me?” Byron smiled, making Rosalie shy and afraid to look at him.
She nodded. God knew how many times she had written his name on her notebook.
Knowing that he was an exchange student from the art institute, Rosalie knew that it was probably impossible to become friends with him in this life.
“This is a wish bottle. After writing down a wish, you bury them deep in the soil. Then, you dig it out years later to see if you’ve realized your wish! Unfortunately, I really don’t know what I should write!” Byron did not seem interested in it back then.
“Is that so? That’s a pity!” Rosalie tried to keep herself calm, but she was flustered even when he stood only a little closer to her.
“That’s right! How about this… Do you have a wish? Write down your wish in this bottle, and I’ll help you bury it! In the future, I’ll tell you where it is, and you can look for it. How about that?”
