Chapter 58 Expressions are Unpredictable

...

There were visitors came to the Riverside Knight's house.

Charles 94 years old was sleepy after being busy for a morning even though he was healthy.

Rachel sent him back to the room and the living room finally fell into silence.

Sean took out a cigarette, lowered his head, lit it up, walked to the window and looked toward the Guyou River.

The Knight was in a good location, where he could see the beautiful scenery of the Guyou River.

The blue and white smoke was slowly spit out by Sean from the mouth. The two figures on the bridge attracted all his attention.

A man and a woman stood opposite each other, like a couple, very close together.

The man was tall, composed and elegant. Although his face could not be seen clearly, but from the shape and the elegant dress, he knew that he was not an ordinary person.

Sean put his eyes on the woman.

By just a glance, his smoking action stopped.

Although Emma basically had her back to him, he could recognize her at a glance, her figure, her dress, and the bag on her shoulder that had been used to smash him...

The man on the bridge was reaching out to put Emma's hood on for her, and they switched position, as if he was shielding her from the wind with his body. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

Sean narrowed his eyes, with expression changed unpredictably. The mobile phone had been in his hands......

...

Emma stood on the bridge. Her face went pale because she was cold.

As Harrell helped her to put on the hood, Emma was shocked.

Harrell's action was light and he had no superfluous expression, which was natural as an old friend. There was no sense of discomfort.

Emma felt shocked and curved her mouth with a smile. “Thank you.”

“It is windy. Let's go back.” Harrell said calmly.

As Emma was to speak, the phone in the bag suddenly rang.

Wagging her hand to Harrell, she pulled the phone out of her bag and paused as she glanced at the caller ID.

The phone stopped after two rings. It was from Sean.

Emma looked at the missed call feeling uneasy. Without hesitation, she called back.

Harrell looked at her movement and waited quietly.

No one answered the phone after a long call.

When Emma thought Sean would not answer the phone, it got through.

Emma's heart beat was faster. Sean connected to the phone, but did not speak.

“Hello? Did you call me?” Emma spoke in a small voice, feeling nervous.

He was silent for a while, and then he finally spoke, “I called the wrong person!”

Before Emma said a word, Sean had decisively hung up the phone. Emma could hear that his tone was bad.

Emma was confused and wondered if she had done anything to offend him. He made a face again!

Emma moved the phone away from her ear and her depressed expression was caught by Harrell.

Harrell asked with a smile, “From Ivan?”

Emma came back to her sese, shook her hand and said calmly, “No, I have broken up with him.”

Harrell was surprised first and then gave an elegant smile.

However, Emma felt Harrell was intentional. He must have known it.

...

After sending Emma back to the house, Harrel did not go in.

He regretted that he took Emma out, because Emma had a high fever on the way back

After asking, he knew that she had been ill last night and had not recovered from a cold.

However, he felt relieved as Emma had gone home.

His phone kept ringing in his pocket and he did not pick it up till Maggie took Emma in.

Over the phone, there was a voice, “We will gather tonight, will you come?”

Harrell took a look at the Brown’s house, turned around and walked toward his car. He said to his cell phone, “I'll go back to take a bath and change my clothes. I'll meet you at the old place...”

In the Emgrand International Private Club, Edward booked a private room in advance.

The privacy of this club was relatively higher than the ordinary club. There was no other inappropriate services, relatively speaking, it was commercial. Most of the customers were celebrities or business negotiations team.

Harrell was getting out of a black Lexus when Sean backed into the parking space.

Sitting in the car Sean saw Harrell. Harrell first smiled. He stood there watching Sean parked the car and got off.

When Sean approached, Harrell called out, “Sean.”

Sean turned around and locked the car with the remote control key. Then he looked back at Harrell. “When did you get back?”

Harrell smiled all the time. “This morning.”

Sean patted him on the shoulder and said with a smile, “Don't you need to company your grandfather?”

Harrell smile faintly and said, “Since I have come back, I don't plan to leave, so I will have a lot of time to accompany him. Besides, Edward doesn’t accompany him either.”

Hearing the words, Sean paused for a moment and then nodded his head with a smile.

Indeed, Edward and Harrell were Cousins had grown up together. Edward was one and a half years older than Harrell, Harrell even called him brother.

Edward's father was the director of a military hospital, while Harrell's father was a prominent lawyer in law circles.

Now Harrell gave up the law profession and turned to business. In the past two years, his business abroad had been thriving.

...

Everyone else in the compartment had arrived first.

Edward and Nelson was walking with their head lowered. Nelson always wore a light smile, only listening to Edward, and he was silent.

When Sean and Harrell walked into, Nelson raised his head.

Seeing Harrell and Sean walked in together, Edward made a joke, “Do you have a woman to serve you at home? You are so reluctant to come out. You two are late.”

Sean and Harrell looked at each other, but neither of them answered Edward. They then sit down.

Harper was the oldest among these people. He had a wife and children. The rest were single.

Harper picked up the glass, said a few words to welcome Harrell back and then they clinked the glasses.

As they drank, the atmosphere gradually became lively.

Harper took the food for himself, and raised his head to look at Harrell while eating, and asked, “Harrell, do you really not go this time?”

Harrell put down his chopsticks, looked up and replied, “If there is no accident, it should be like this.”

“What do you mean no accident? What accident could it be?” Harper said with a smile.

Before Harrell could speak, Edward swallowed a mouthful of food and took over the conversation. “Harper,” he said, “You know, my grandfather asked him to come back this time just for the blind date!”
