Chapter 71: Ask Shiyao for Help
Xu Youyou woke up and was startled by the surroundings. She remembered this place, where she had sex with Zhong Yi. Remembering the madness of that night, Xu Youyou rubbed her aching head, jumped out of bed and crept out of the room.
Zhong Yi lay on the sofa with body twisted, dead drunk. Xu Youyou couldn’t help picking up a blanket to cover him when she passed by.
“Don’t go…”
Zhong Yi grabbed Xu Youyou’s wrist, as docile as a kid, without the usual aggressiveness.
Xu Youyou gently loosened the firm clutch of him, gave him a careful kiss on the eye, and quietly left.
However, she didn’t notice that Zhong Yi’s eyes quivered and overflowed with tears when she turned away.
Luckily she didn’t have a shift today, or she would have been scolded by the director again. Xu Youyou turned on her phone, and a series of messages from Shiyao popped up on the screen. Besides apology, she told Xu Youyou all the details of the event.
“Youyou, don’t be angry please! I didn’t mean to lie to you. I just… I feel like this marriage… It’s hard. You Ze’s been really nice to me, but I know we’re not the one for each other. But it’s ok. I’ve gotten over it! You understand, don’t you? Don’t shut me out, my best friend forever. Give me a call if you forgive me, I’ll buy you a drink!”
The girl explained to Xu Youyou over and over again. Xu Youyou burst out laughing as if she saw the phone driving Shiyao crazy.
As her bestie so many years, how could she not understand Shiyao? She was sad that she left Shiyao alone to make the difficult decision.
Xu Youyou touched her belly. What should she do? The longer the child lived in her stomach, the less she wanted to give it up.
…
Old Qin angrily smashed the tea cup to the ground, which scared Qin Shaogang speechless.
“Who told you to disturb Shi Nian! Isn’t it complicated enough?”
The second Mrs. Qin cried her eyes out, repeating Qin Wen’s name. Song Meirong smiled awkwardly and winked at Qin Shaogang.
“Dad, Wenwen is your granddaughter anyway! How can you bear seeing her suffer in prison? Shiyao, she is even unwilling to accept our surname, Qin. Why are you so partial to her? Why can’t you be fair?”
Qin Shaogang blurted out his complaints. It was unacceptable even if he gave up Qin Wen!
“You devil!”
Old Qin stood up rather unsteadily, and slapped Qin Shaogang on the face.
“I certainly know your tricks! I’m telling you, you’ll plot against Yaoyao over my dead body! I have been fair to bloodlines of the Qin family. But you, you make difficulties for a little girl! I declare that Qin Wen is no longer my granddaughter from now on! Whether she can live depends on her own luck!”
When old Qin learned from You Ze’s call that the Qins were picking on Shi Nian, he had decided to give up Qin Wen.
The Qins were all troublemakers! Qin Yu, the youngest granddaughter, was not old enough to be involved in the mess between adults. Qin Shaogang’s youngest son was only ten years old, and Qin Ran had married abroad, completely out of the life of the Qin family.
“I’ve said that everyone in the Qin family has the right to be my heir. Don’t take advantage of your seniority to do what you want! If you don’t take my words seriously, sorry, you’re not my sons!”
Hearing those words, Qin Shaofeng and his wife immediately showed a ghastly expression. Old Qin had two sons, one daughter and a lot of grandchildren. Though his health was getting worse, he refused to leave his position as the family head. Did he really want to give it to Shiyao?
“Dad, what are you talking about? We’re just concerned about Wenwen. A little girl is too delicate to bear such torture!”
Song Meirong sighed with a long face, as if she was really worried about Qin Wen.
“Don’t you know how to ask for help at your age?” old Qin sneered, “Wise up!”
Song Meirong’s face froze. She didn’t expect that You Ze cared Shiyao so much!
Old Qin coughed and went back to his room with the help of the butler, leaving a room full of people lost in meditation.
“What does dad mean? Does he want to take sides with that mean girl?” Song Meirong grumbled angrily.
“That’s right. My poor daughter has suffered who knows how much!”
The second Mrs. Qin glared at her husband. As a woman, she was unable to get Qin Wen out of prison. Few days later, if Qin Wen was found guilty in court, she wouldn’t have a second chance.
Qin Shaogang looked coldly at his sobbing wife and left, with a stolid face. He was also upset now, not worrying about Qin Wen, but thinking about how to become an heir.
If Qin Shaofeng got it, fair enough, but he couldn’t lose the Qin family to Shiyao! Even if she had You Ze back her up, he believed that there was an opportunity sometime in the future!
On this point, the Qin Shaofeng couple and Qin Shaogang thought alike. No matter how they fought, they were family. Shiyao was not! She wanted to rely on You Ze to possess the Qin family? Daydreaming!
Qin Shaofeng had illegitimate children, two sons and a daughter, which was clear to Song Meirong. But since Qin Shaofeng had a fierce fight with her for kicking Shi Nian out, she had given up on the man, turning a blind eye to his love affairs.
Old Qin loved his family most. Qin Shaofeng had intended to bring the three children back long before, but he didn’t dare to ask his dad. The eldest son of the Qin family had three illegitimate children, which would make people laugh their heads off!Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
Song Meirong should have been unlikely to agree, but the worsening situation forced her to let her husband take the plunge. As long as she was the First Mrs. Qin, no other woman could walk all over her!
Tired of her crying all the time, Song Meirong frowned and helped her up.
“I’m afraid there’s only one way to save Wenwen.”
“What method? Beg that woman?” the second Mrs. Qin cried in despair.
“I’ll go! I’ll do anything to get Wenwen out!”
The second Mrs. Qin had no desire for the property of Qin family, and she hated Shiyao out of selfishness and jealousy. Now she was the only one who really worried about Qin Wen. As a mother, anyway, she was willing to do anything to save her daughter.
