Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 625

Chapter 625

“Are you still angry?” Old Man Neal spoke with a deep volce, resembling a gentle elder at that moment.

Joshua’s attitude softened, though a tinge of bitterness lingered in his wards. “I’m not angry, I just don’t understand why you asked me to come back when it’s clear you’re not welcoming” Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“We did not unwelcome your return. You’re the most accomplished child in our family. This is how we’ve always interacted, it was my mistake not to notice your unhappiness,” Old Man Neal answered slowly, his concern evident.

Joshua’s expression showed a hint of surprise. His grandfather.. truly seemed to care about him. Cynthia had not lied.

“Could you tell me what happened?” Old Man Neal inquired gently, hoping to have a heart–to–heart conversation

Adhering to Cynthia’s request to maintain his former personality, Joshua was sparing with his words. “No.”

“It’s because of Cynthia, isn’t it? The words escaped Old Man Neal’s lips.

Joshua looked over at him again. Old Man Neal was picking up the teapot to pour tea, thinking about continuing the conversation gradually. However, Joshua beat him to it, grabbing the teapot and pouring the tea. His actions were so adept that it surprised even him, for it was not a conscious decision but a conditioned reflex of the body.

The look in Old Man Neal’s eyes grew complex, his heart filling with an even greater sense of ge

“Joshua, if you can’t win Cynthia back, just let her co. Considering all the foelish things you’ve done and given Cynthia’s character, she’s unlikely to remarry you.” Old Man Neal began after much consideration, intending to have a serious discussion with him.

Most women were soft–hearted. However, Cynthia was different. While she could be tender, that tenderness does not

influence her decisions.

“I’ll win her back. As for the past, she has already forgiven me,” Joshua responded, engaging in the conversation.

Old Man Neal’s face lit up with joy before immediately falling into a sigh Cynthias forgiveness, he feared, was merely her way of severing any further connection. The poor boy. If only he had known this from the beginning

“You should go see your mother in a little while. It was my mistake. Don’t let your mother suffer because of it,” Old Man Neal suggested, noting Joshua’s troubled state, has brows knit in complexity.

“Alright.” Joshua nodded.

After instructing him to rest well, Old Man Neal stood and left. Watching the departing figure, Joshua felt a pang in his heart and could not help but stand up and call out, “Old Man Neal.”

Old Man Neal paused, his eyes shimmering with emotion.

“I’m sorry, I was impulsive earlier,” Joshua apologized, not wanting to cause the elder too much worry or concern.

“If you know you were impulsive, then go apologize to your mother. Otherwise, if your mother worries excessively, I will certainly have to deal with you,” Old Man Neal retorted as if reinvigorated, a hint of

stubborn pride in his voice.

Joshua sighed

He really could not understand this kind of interaction. However, regardless of his understanding, he had to admit that deep down, it was comforting. It was a different warmth than the one he felt with Cynthia. This warmth gave him immense strength as if it could serve as the foundation for all things.

After Old Man Neal left, he obediently went to find Daphne Following Cynilla’s instructions, he played his character perfectly and even invented a reason for feeling unwell. Daphne was his mother, and as the person who had watched lilim grow and pave birth to hien, she quickly noticed something was off after a brief chal

However, she did not confront Joshua directly. Instead, she waited until he had left to question Felix.

“What’s going on with joshua?” she asked.

“Huh?”

“Don’t play dumb with me. If you don’t tell me, you’re not coming into my room tonight”

“I genuinely don’t know.”

“I don’t believe you.”
