Chapter 140 Let Her Be the Mistress
Noah's eyes darkened. His broad back stiffened slightly as he remained silent.
The air seemed to freeze, and Pater's eyes were fixed on him.
He asked again in a harsher tone, "Who is Stella?"
"She is my wife."
Pater raised his hand abruptly!
The tea set on the table shattered into a mess with a bang!
Noah clenched his fists, the veins on the back of his hand bulging.
Pater sternly questioned, "When did you get married and when did you have this woman?"
"If I hadn't intercepted this declaration, were you really planning to hand over half of the Martinez
family's power on a silver platter?"
The butler and servants outside the door dared not even breathe when they heard the commotion
inside.
Even Andrew was stunned.
Pater had always been calm and composed in handling matters, rarely showing such intense anger.
But today, the grandfather and grandson inside seemed like two opposing lions. Just the sound of their
voices made people shudder, let alone approach them.
"Do you want to give half of all your assets, stocks, funds, including overseas properties and cash to
that woman?"
"Noah." Pater said coldly, "What on earth are you thinking?"
Noah licked his lips, his gaze cold and firm. "Not half...but all."
"What did you say?"
"The declaration currently states half because she has not yet become my real wife. In the future, when
she becomes my legal wife, everything I have will be hers."
Pater's eyes flashed with a chill as he looked at Noah for a while, his brows furrowing.
"So, haven't you two gotten married yet?"
Noah clenched his teeth.
Pater let out a sigh of relief.
He knew that Noah had been recuperating in Eldoria after the plane crash. Perhaps Noah met Stella
during that time.
When one was injured, it was the weakest moment of his willpower, making it easier for others to take
advantage of him.
"It's best that you haven't gotten married yet." Pater said calmly, "This kind of woman is unreliable. She
approached you because of your status and position. You'd better stay clear-headed and not fall into
her trap!"
"Grandpa." Noah's voice was low. "She doesn't know who I am."
"That's even better!"
Pater put his hands behind his back and walked slowly to the French window.
"While you still can, break up with her. You won't have any losses. If Stella insists on pestering you, you
can compensate her. Let her name a price!"
"Grandpa!"
Noah clenched his fists, his nails digging deep into his flesh.
He looked into Pater's eyes and said every word resolutely.
"I came back this time to be honest with you. I will not separate from Stella. I only want her in this
lifetime!"
"Noah Martinez!" Pater's anger surged. "Do you know what you're talking about?"
"Grandpa, I am very clear-headed."
"You..."
Pater raised his hand suddenly, but it trembled in mid-air and ultimately did not slap Noah.
This was his grandson whom he had raised and was proud of.
But now his grandson was losing his mind because of a woman!
"Noah." His voice trembled. "Are you really going to disappoint me?"
Noah took a deep breath, and his heart was also tormented.
But in the end, he slowly raised his eyes and met Pater's cold and stern gaze.
Pater intended to give in and spoke softly after a while, "If you really like this woman, bring her here."
Noah frowned and couldn't believe his ears.
"Emberfall is so big, and there must be a place for her to stay." Pater held his dragon-headed cane.
"Find her a place to settle down. After you get married, you can also visit her a few times a month."
"As long as she behaves herself and doesn't cause trouble, you can keep her by your side!"
Noah was stunned. After a long while, he sneered and said, "So, do you want her to be my mistress?"
"It is her honor to be your mistress!"
Noah's heart trembled fiercely.
"It's impossible!" His voice was harsh and fierce. "I will never let her suffer such humiliation!"
"Then what do you want to do? Marry her?" Pater said sternly, "I think you've lost your mind!"
He gasped for breath, turned to look out the window, and covered the position of his heart with one
hand.
"Noah, break up with her quickly! Even if you don't want to marry Gwen, you can choose someone from
the other three major families!"
"I said that I only want Stella in this lifetime!"
"Only her?" Pater raised his voice, turned around, and glared at him coldly. "What if she disappears
from this world?"
Noah's ears buzzed, and he couldn't help but take two steps back.
Pater approached him. "Noah, you are the heir I personally cultivated. No matter what you do, your
starting point can only be the Martinez Group!"
"And my responsibility as your grandfather is to clear all obstacles for you... including women!"
Noah's throat tightened, his eyes becoming even darker.
His fist beside him clenched tightly and then relaxed. The atmosphere became tense again. His silence
gradually brought a satisfied expression to Pater's face.
He was about to reach out and pat Noah's shoulder, but Noah suddenly dodged away.
Noah looked at him, his icy and fierce gaze resembling a wild beast lurking in the night.
"Grandpa." He gritted his teeth and said, "If you make her disappear, I promise you will also lose the
heir you personally cultivated!"
"You..."
Pater's face was filled with shock. He opened his mouth but didn't say a word.
Noah turned around and walked away.
The servants and butler were in a panic when he left. Andrew quickly caught up. Seeing Noah's grim
face, he wanted to ask something but swallowed his words. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
"Master Noah, what should we do now..."
"Go back to Evergreen Ridge!"
Andrew immediately went to drive the car.
However, a light and graceful sound of footsteps came from the end of the corridor.
"Noah, you're back..."
Noah coldly glanced at her. She slightly shifted to the side and stood there somewhat nervously.
He nodded and greeted her, about to continue walking forward, but Gwen gently grabbed him,
"Noah..."
Noah suddenly shook her hand off, keeping a significant distance between them.
"Did you come to see my grandfather?"
"Yeah..." Gwen softly said, "I came to see your grandfather, but the main reason was to see you."
Noah's expression remained cold, his eyes as deep as a well, revealing no emotions.
"I know you had an accident with the plane. It scared me at that time." Gwen slowly approached.
"Noah, have your injuries healed? You haven't come back for so long... Are you not leaving this time?"
Noah only felt annoyed. The closer she got, the more he wanted to avoid her.
He couldn't understand why this woman had such a repugnant scent of perfume on her.
Stella never used perfume. She only had a clean and sweet scent that made him unable to resist.
"Noah, it's still early now. Why don't you come to my house for a while if you want? I also have
something I want to talk to you about privately."
"It's not early anymore." Noah said in a deep voice, "I just arrived in Emberfall and want to rest early. If
you didn't bring a driver, I'll have the housekeeper send you in a while."
His attitude of keeping her at a distance couldn't be more obvious.
But Gwen felt unwilling.
"If I wanted to talk to you about our marriage, do you not want to listen either?"
