Chapter 133 That’s All We Have
Stella was worried that Mia was alone in the hospital. When she went to visit, she saw Mia feeding
Jericho.
Mia, who was always carefree, treated Jericho with such care that she cooled the soup by blowing on
it, afraid it would burn Jericho's lips.
As for the man, who was lying on the bed seemingly fragile- who would have thought that he was
actively doing rehabilitation exercises in the recovery room two days ago?
Thinking about this, Stella smiled and suddenly thought of her husband.
He was the same, always distancing himself from others. But when interacting with her, he was always
so considerate.
"You're here." At this moment, a familiar voice suddenly resounded from behind.
Stella turned to see Aiden coming towards her. As soon as he looked at the ward, his eyes dimmed for
a split second, but he quickly regained his gentle smile.
"It seems that Mr. Hart is recovering well." He said softly, "The stitches can be removed in two days."
"Thanks, Aiden." Stella replied as she felt a little embarrassed.
Originally, she planned to set Aiden up with Mia. But she had never expect that things would go
another way round.
"There's nothing to thank me for!" Aiden chuckled, "I'm a doctor, it's what I do." This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
"You're such a good doctor." She knew her words were useless. But beyond those few words, she
really didn't know how to convey her apology.
He healed his love rival, and even led the person he loved to his rival. Although he could heal others,
no one could mend his broken heart.
Stella felt sorry for Aiden, who was such a good person.
"Actually... I also hope that Mia can be with the person she likes." He smiled and looked into the ward
again with a reluctant gaze.
"I can tell everything," he uttered in a low voice. "Only when Mia is with Jericho can she smile
heartfeltly."
"Aiden..." Stella commented sincerely, "I believe that God has another plan for you, because you are a
good person!"
"Well, I am doing well now." Aiden laughed, "Everything has been smooth sailing for me since I was a
child. Although I didn't grow up in a rich family, I never had to worry much. My parents supported me
through medical school years. And now I have successfully become a doctor and opened my own
clinic. To put it bluntly, I feel like a winner in life!
"I cherish everything I have now," Aiden looked at Stella and said, "Including all of you, my friends."
Stella was at lost for words.
"So, if you have the chance, can you tell Mia that there is nothing awkward about us bumping into each
other? We are still friends! If you need my help, I will do my best!"
"Sure, I will do that!" Stella promised as she nodded her head.
"Haha, I actually think it must have been God's intention for me to meet you." Aiden smiled, "Look, I
saved Liam and brought you two together and then I saved Jericho. It seems that I am the Cupid
Doctor, am I not?"
Stella was amused by his words. They walked together and had a small talk for a while before Aiden
bidding farewell.
"By the way," he turned his head to look at her before he left. "I've been a bit busy these days and
haven't been able to get to your report. I'll update it for you in two days!"
"There's no rush."
"No way, I bet Liam must be anxious!" Aiden chuckled and said, "There should be no problem. Please
take good care of yourself these days. When the report is ready, I will find a professional gynaecologist
to advise you on the precautions."
Liam thanked him and went home.
But as soon as she entered the house, she heard some noises inside. She noticed that Noah's shoes
were untidily arranged.
Feeling confused, she entered the room cautiously. As soon as she opened the door, she met into
Noah's panicked gaze.
"You..." Stella was taken aback by his reaction. "What are you doing?"
She saw him crouching on the floor, rummaging through the cupboards, drawers pulled out.
Then she noticed the marriage certificate he was holding.
"Why are you holding our marriage certificate?" Stella asked in surprise.
Noah, on the other hand, gulped nervously, at a loss for words. He had no idea how to explain it to her.
While Stella was gone, he found the marriage certificate. As he expected, the name on it was Liam.
When Stella was forced to marry Liam instead of Amelia, the Taylor family went behind his back and
registered Liam's name.
If he had known then that he would fall in love with Stella, he would have gone to the Civil Affairs
Bureau to deal with the matter, no matter what.
Caleb told him that he could still fix this problem - just that he might have to get into some trouble.
But just as he was about to take the marriage certificate, Stella noticed it.
"Darling, what are you doing?" Noticing him blanking out, Stella felt something off.
"Why are you making such a mess of the house just to search for our marriage certificate? What do
you need it for?"
Noah chuckled awkwardly and gave a random answer.
"I just want to take a look."
"Is there anything special about it?"
Stella laughed as she took the marriage certificate from his hand and locked it back in into the drawer.
Noah went silent.
Stella looked at him acting like a boy who seemed to have done something wrong.
She couldn't help but forgive his mistakes when he acted like that.
Chuckling, she cupped his face and asked gently, "Darling, you've been acting strange lately. Is
something bothering you?"
Noah took a deep breath as he hugged her tightly, breathing in her sweet scene greedily.
"Let's forget it. Since you've made such a mess of the house, let me show you around!" She laughed
and patted him on the shoulder.
Noah let go of his grip and watched as Stella walked across the rifled cupboard and took out the carved
sandalwood box he had given her.
When she opened it, there were a passbook and a bank card in it along with the jewelry.
"That's all we have", she said.
Stella giggled as she explained, "Just keep those things with you."
"How can that be! The house is yours too!" exclaimed Noah, his heart tightening at her words.
"This property license is the house Dad gave me - the one Samuel lives in now."
"Besides the usual expenses, I have been saving the remaining money every month in this bank card."
Stella said quietly, "I bought a financial product that has a return every month!"
"The other part is in the passbook, in case there's an emergency, you can withdraw it from the
passbook."
"The passwords are the date of our wedding anniversary, you have to remember them!"
"Right." Noah answered, ignoring his aching heart. "I have remembered them all."
"And this..."
Stella smiled softly and showed him the two documents.
"I want to take out an insurance policy, but I'm still trying to decide which one to buy. Darling, could you
please choose the better one?"
Noah paused, then took the documents from her.
It was a normal commercial insurance policy. The buyer would pay money into it every month and
receive regular dividends. In the event of an accident, the insurance company would pay out a
reasonable amount of money.
Although she hadn't made up her mind, the beneficiaries on the policy were all listed as 'Liam
Anderson', and Noah darkened his gaze as he noticed this.
With his eyebrows raised slightly, he asked.
"Why are you buying insurance for?"
