Love is the Sunshine

Chapter 585 Childhood Sweethearts (Part Two)

Chapter 585 Childhood Sweethearts (Part Two)

Carla didn't bother trying to explain it to Sally. Instead, she just cast a glance at Violet, who was right

beside her, and let out a soft chuckle. Then, she proceeded to tell her, "My daughter is still too young to

be thinking about that. You shouldn't be making this decision for her as early as now!"

"Carla, good things should be done as soon as possible! Wouldn't you say?" Violet beamed her a

smile.

After saying that, she turned to look at Sally and said, "Sally, being a wife means that you will marry

Cody sometime in the future, just like your father and mother!"

It should go without saying that Violet was just messing around with these two children.

Since Cody was a boy and Sally was a girl, add to that the fact that they were at about the same age,

such an idea would inevitably come to her mind.

At the end of the day, what would happen in the future was still uncertain. If Cody and Sally found

someone else to love, Violet would have no right to force them to marry each other.

"No, I don't want to be his wife!" Sally screamed at the top of her lungs after finding out what a wife

was.

Then, she looked at Carla and exclaimed, "I'm going to stay with my mother and father for the rest of

my life, so I will not marry Cody!"

Cody, who was in the middle of trying to repair his castle, suddenly hurled back at her, "Sally, I never

said I wanted you to marry me! It was my mother who said that!"

"But that was your mother's words! Are you saying that you're going to disobey her order?" Sally asked.

As he got up, Cody dusted the sand off of his hands and said, "Sally, I'm the one who has to decide

whom I'm going to marry. When I'm older, my mom shouldn't have a say in this matter. So, you don't

have to worry about this thing. I won't marry you..."

"Well, don't you ever forget what you just said!"

Sally sneered at him again, pursing her lips.

When Violet heard her son say this, she immediately yelled at him, "Hey, Cody! What did you just say?

Shouldn't I have the right to decide whom you're going to get married to?

Don't you know that you have a filial obligation to your mother?"

Cody quickly looked at Violet and yelled back, "Mother! Sally already has a big castle of her own, so

she wouldn't care about my castle at all!"

Cody turned his gaze toward the Seaview Villa that stood not too far away from him.

The way he saw it, that villa really seemed like a big castle.

Hearing his response, Violet had no clue what else to say to her son.

If she was completely being honest, she actually thought what Cody said just now made perfect sense.

There wasn't really anything that the An family lacked. It could be possible that Cody really wouldn't be

worthy of Sally in the future.

Feeling so helpless, Carla looked at the mother and son pair and said, "Well, Violet, you don't have to

take things too seriously with the child. How about staying here to have lunch with us at home?"

Actually, Sally's thoughts had already drifted away from the topic they were arguing about. Without the

others noticing, she was too preoccupied with playing in the sand again. But the moment she heard

about lunch being mentioned, her eyes lit up and she immediately said, "Mother, I want to eat the

braised chicken wings Grandma Sophie made last time. Can you please ask her to make that for me?"

"Okay! I'll call Sophie right away and ask her to prepare a meal for us," Carla answered.

Then, she went ahead and gave Sophie a call. At that moment, a thought crossed her mind, 'Sally was

forced to live a harsh life during the past four years, so it would be best to let her eat more nutritional

foods.'

When Carla was done giving Sophie her instructions, Violet laughed at Carla and said, "Carla, these

two children are so amusing. They really bring so much joy to our lives!"

In truth, having children was not merely the next part of life, it also added a lot of enjoyable things to it.

At around noon time, the four of them left the beach with smiles on their faces.

Violet and Cody stayed and had lunch at the Seaview Villa with Carla and Sally.

When they were done eating, Carla asked the two children who had been playing around all morning to

take a quick nap.

While the kids were sleeping, Violet and Carla went to the third floor and took a seat by the sea view

window.

"Carla, haven't you seen what's on the news recently?"

Violet asked as she swiped the screen of her phone.

"No, I haven't really had much free time to check the news since we came back. And even when I have

time to spare, I have to stay with Sally all the time. Did something interesting happen?"

Carla asked as she leaned on the sofa and stretched out her arms and legs.

Taking her cellphone out, Violet moved a bit closer to Carla's side and showed her the news that was

being talked about all over the internet. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Look! These bits of news are all about you. Since you're finally back, the AJ Group is about to hold an

activity called 'Love Returning'. The activity is gonna be held next week, and it's still on Saturday! I

think that the hotels of the AJ Group will most certainly be fully booked because of it!"

Looking at Violet's mobile phone, Carla took out her own mobile phone and said, "I don't think that's

going to be the case at all. The customers need to book the room in advance that day, so we won't

receive any more reservations if it happens to exceed the quota."

Then, Carla also began to swipe her phone to get updated about what's going on around her.

From out of the blue, a push notification of a news article popped up on her phone screen. When she

clicked it and, she saw the title of the news article—"The Secret in the An Family".

Carla was baffled by this piece of news and wondered, 'Secret? What secret in our family are they

talking about?'
