Chapter 722: Juliet is Thrown Out
When the director of the production arrived, he witnessed the scene unfolding.
Juliet stood atop her trailer with an imposing air, her agent's face cold and expressionless behind her.
Opposite them, Kylie Lambert and her agent made a stark contrast, one looking wronged and the other too frightened to speak.
At first glance, it seemed as though Juliet was abusing her power, unable to confront Tina, so she took her anger out on Kylie Lambert instead. "Kylie Lambert!"
The phone in Juliet's hand vibrated frantically.
She knew that Arthur was on the other end, reacting non-stop to Kylie Lambert's comments, but she didn't know how to respond.
Her eyes, filled with anger, stared at Kylie Lambert, "Stop talking nonsense! You clearly tried to seduce Jared and failed miserably, and now you have the audacity to blame Tina, playing the victim? You are despicable!" Her agent, a long-time friend of Tina, frowned deeply at Kylie Lambert's accusations, "Miss Lambert, spreading rumors can land you in jail. Do you think we are fools to openly provoke like this?!"
Kylie Lambert looked innocent, "Miss Reed, if you don't believe me, call Tina right now. If she doesn't dislike you, she'll surely answer your call."
"This wretched woman, she must know the boss can't be contacted right now! She's doing this on purpose!"
Arthur shouted angrily over the phone.
Juliet and her agent exchanged glances, surveying the crowd around them.
The entertainment industry thrives on gossip, and today, centered around her trailer, a crowd had gathered.
Especially since it was a fan visit day for the production crew, some were even peeking through the banners with cameras and long lenses. Kylie Lambert must have known!
She chose today to cause trouble, but what was her real intention?
"Don't just stand there. If you truly dislike your brother-in-law, call Tina now to prove your innocence."
Suddenly!
Someone in the crowd shouted.
Like a drop of water in hot oil, the crowd erupted!
The onlookers cupped their hands around their mouths, amplifying their voices, "Yeah, just make a call, you're rich, a phone call won't break your bank!" "If you don't make the call, are you admitting it?!"
"How despicable! Tina has been nothing but open-hearted towards you, and yet you covet her fiancé, just like your murderous grandmother, disgusting!" "Genetics are truly deep-seated! How can such a woman be liked by so many?!"
"I've been wanting to say this! Juliet's acting is terrible, and she is so arrogant. I really wonder if Tina was blind to support her initially!"
Some people from the production crew recognized the director and grabbed his arm, "Director, how can this kind of woman be our lead actress?!" "Exactly, Director, just kick her out!"
"Kick her out!"
In the midst of the excited crowd, no one noticed the glint in Kylie Lambert's eyes.
Juliet looked down at the crowd, not exactly panicking.
She was no stranger to the fickle nature of the industry, and at this point, there was nothing left to fear.
But this could not go on!
Her career had just started to flourish with Tina's help!
She could not let Kylie Lambert, this inexplicable woman, succeed!
"Is there still no contact with Tina?"
As a last resort, the only option was to call Tina to prove her innocence.NôvelDrama.Org content.
The agent had already made the call.
"No good, the phone keeps showing it's turned off on the other end. I don't know if something's happened!"
Juliet's heart skipped a beat.
"Arthur, you knew Tina before. Could you please help me find her? I'm really out of options now."
The film set was in chaos.
Tina, having just left the Farrell family, dove headfirst into the YQ Institute, unaware of the turmoil.
Jared sat patiently outside her lab while Peter Crispin occasionally peered inside. Wraith sat next to him, his eyes fixed on the lab door. "Spectre has been in there for so long, why hasn't he come out yet? It's just a bit of potion, why all the secrecy, and why can't I go in!" Peter Crispin looked at him disdainfully.
"Why should you go in? To cause trouble? Brother, no offense, but if I or Serena can't figure it out, what makes you think you can?"
Wraith retorted, "Who knows? You've been chasing someone for years and still haven't found them. If I'm as good as your Serena, why can't I research it!" "This is something they used my master to test drugs on. It must have some special properties."
His eyes sparkled.
"If I figure it out, maybe I can cure the poison in me, then see how you can keep me locked up!"
Peter Crispin was shocked.
"Are you really saying this out loud?"
Jared, completely absorbed by his computer, couldn't help but look up at Wraith.
"Did Tina dose him too heavily? Why does he seem so dim-witted now?"
Realizing the piercing gazes of both men upon him, Wraith suddenly remembered what he had said. His face changed abruptly, just as he was about to defend himself.
At that moment, the sealed lab door opened with a ding. Tina, clad in a white lab coat and holding a vial, stepped out.
"Didn't expect your ambitions to be so grand, they should be achievable in your dreams."
Passing Wraith, she handed him the vial.
"Try this on your medicine man, or if you're not afraid of dying, try it on yourself."
Without waiting for Wraith's reaction, Tina strode over to Jared.
"Uncle, have you been waiting long? Let's go out to eat; I'm really hungry."
Her coquettish tone clearly pleased Jared, who affectionately stroked her nose.
"What would you like to eat?"
"Hot pot? No, we just had that yesterday."
Tina wrinkled her nose, considering her recent weight gain, and decisively vetoed the idea.
Thinking it over, she took out her phone to check online for something tasty but after a few presses, realized her phone had died-she had forgotten to charge it the night before. "Uncle, do you have a power bank? My phone's turned off."
Jared paused, instinctively patting himself down before remembering he rarely carried such gadgets.
"Use mine. We'll be heading home after dinner anyway; it won't matter for a bit."
As the two prepared to leave, they paid no mind to the two bachelors nearby. Wraith, holding the vial, almost seemed to be bragging with his posture. He had not been paying attention to their conversation but, seeing them about to depart, quickly stowed the potion.
"Wait, what did you find out this is used for?"
Tina, without turning back, replied, "The experiment report is inside. Read it yourself."
Peter Crispin muttered to himself, "So, am I the only one left hurting?"
