Chapter 27 God of Gamblers
Chapter 27 God of Gamblers
Atlas took the chips and threw the Violet Gold Card on the table. He said, "I don't have the habit of
getting benefits without effort."
Ruben laughed and said, "Alright, if you like!"
The waiter picked up Atlas' card and swiped 500,000.
When Joseph and the others saw this, they were slightly surprised. "He spent 500,000, but he didn't
even change his expression. Why do I feel that he doesn't look like the loser from before?"
Gavin sneered and said, "He's just bluffing. Let's see if he can keep calm after we win his money!"
Shelly took Viviana's hand and said in surprise, "Viviana, did you give Atlas money? It's one million
dollars. Where did he get the money?"
Viviana looked indifferent and said in a low voice, "It should be the money that Ronald Kimmerly gave
him."
"This Ronald Kimmerly has given him money. What on earth did this dude do?" Shelly was confused.
That was also what Viviana wanted to know.
"Mr. Kimmerly, how about playing cards first?" Joseph said with a smile.
"Whatever you want, we'll play with you!" Ruben looked arrogant.
"Atlas, what about you?" Joseph looked at Atlas.
"Whatever you want." Atlas replied indifferently.
Viviana frowned and couldn't help reminding him, "Atlas, think about it carefully. Even if Chairman
Kimmerly gave you some money, you don't have enough money for this kind of gamble!"
Ruben smiled wickedly. "You mean that to take these money home and let you keep them away is the
most secure way, right?"
That was what Viviana was thinking. Atlas was her husband, technically speaking and half of Atlas'
money was hers.
However, after being seen through by Ruben, Viviana would not admit it. "I'm just kindly reminding him.
After all, we are husband and wife. I don't want to see him lose everything!"
Atlas only felt that those words were extremely hypocritical, which made him a little impatient. "Let's
start!"
"Okay, please deal cards!" Joseph said to the waiter waiting by the side.
It could be said that playing cards was the most common game, so the rules are well-known. Even if
Atlas had never entered the casino, he knew how to play.
They sat at the gambling table with different expressions, like a big battle was commencing. The
atmosphere was solemn.
Vivian and the other women stood around and watched the game.
After dealing the cards, Joseph spoke first. He directly took a few chips and threw them into the middle
of the table. "Ten thousand!"
"Follow!" Gavin also threw in 10,000 chips.
Tobias threw the chips in without saying a word.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Without saying a word, Atlas also threw in 10,000 chips.
When it's Ruben's turn, he chuckled, "Good things come in pairs, twenty thousand!"
After another round, Gavin began to check his cards.
"Fuck!" Gavin cursed and threw the card away.
Joseph also looked at his cards and found that he had a pair of five. The numbers were neither big nor
small.
"100,000!" Joseph raised the stake.
Some people checked their cards, and Tobias also checked his cards. He was not very interested in
gambling, but just played by instinct.
He found that the largest of his cards was nine, so he folded his cards.
Ruben also checked his cards. Eight was the largest. He swore and folded his cards.
Only Atlas and Joseph were left.
Atlas still did not check his cards. He grabbed 50,000 chips and put them in. The rule of Exploding Gold
Flowers was that whoever checked the cards had to double the bet.
Atlas bet 50,000 dollars, which meant Joseph had to bet 100,000 dollars.
There was only Atlas left. He had not checked his cards, but Joseph had a very good chance to win.
Naturally, Joseph would not admit losing and show the cards first.
"100,000!" Joseph said.
"Call!" Without any hesitation, Atlas threw the chips to the middle of the table.
After a few rounds, the chips on the table were almost over 500,000 dollars.
The girls were surprised. The eyes of the girl behind Ruben were even brighter.
Joseph couldn't sit still anymore. He had used up his 100,000 chips. What he used just now was Gavin
Peterson's.
However, Atlas had not checked his cards so far. It seemed that he was very confident in himself.
"Damn it, is this guy an old gambler? How can he be so calm?" Joseph cursed in his heart.
Joseph gritted his teeth and followed Atlas for a few more rounds. He was using Tobias' chips now.
Seeing that Atlas showed no sign of checking his cards, he could only say with shame and anger,
"Showdown!"
The cards were turned face up. Atlas had double five and a three.
Atlas looked at Joseph strangely, whose face instantly took on a ghastly expression. The cards were
screwed up in his hand.
"I lose!" Joseph threw the cards directly on the floor and glared at Atlas viciously.
"Amazing!" Ruben laughed happily and helped Atlas hold the chips on the table.
Atlas had won a great deal!
Gavin curiously picked up the cards that Joseph threw on the floor and muttered, "What kind of cards
did you have? You actually held for so long?"
Seeing the cards, Gavin looked at the angry Joseph and burst out laughing. "Hahaha, Joseph, you're
so unlucky!"
Tobias also looked over curiously and found that Joseph' cards contain also double five and a three.
They had the same cards.
However, according to the rules, when the cards were the same, whoever checked the cards first would
lose.
No wonder Joseph was so angry. Even if Atlas' cards were a little bigger than his, he would feel better.
Ruben stretched out his head to take a look and immediately let out a wild laugh. "Joseph, you coward.
If you hadn't asked for the showdown, you would have won!"
"Atlas, you knew that his cards are the same as yours, did you? Is that why you hadn't asked for the
showdown?" asked Ruben curiously.
Atlas nodded honestly. "Yes."
Joseph snorted coldly. "I don't believe you. Continue!"
Next, Atlas either folded directly, with no chips added, or he didn't check his cards all the time, ended
up with winning.
It was as if Atlas had a pair of eyes that could see through everyone's cards.
"Stop!"
Gavin had exchanged for chips again, which were 100,000 dollars at a time, and he had spent like a
million on it. He could no longer afford to play with his wealth.
Joseph was also suffering. He had already exchanged for 3 million chips. Including Tobias' 2 million he
had used, he had lost 5 million dollars.
Even if his father had more than 100 million, five million was not a small proportion.
"Cheating. This must be cheating. We'll play a new game!" Joseph didn't dare to continue, but he didn't
want to lose to Atlas like this, so he wanted to change the gambling equipment.
Ruben laughed, "What a good day"
"Atlas, they want to change the game. What do you think?" Ruben asked. He now regarded Atlas as
the leader. He would do whatever Atlas said.
Atlas said lightly, "Whatever they like."
Although Atlas only had the strength of the Early-stage of the Foundation Phase, he could see through
the gambling equipment with any small spell.
Later, they played something else, but Atlas won all the time. He won more than that in cards.
After all, although he could see through the cards, it still depended on luck to get bigger cards to win.
Though Atlas had the skill of stealing and replacing, he disdained to use it.
Otherwise, if those old friends of the cultivation circle knew about it, they would laugh at him.
As for other gambling equipment, such as dice, Atlas could tell at a glance what they were. He would
never make a mistake. It would be hard not to win.
