Chapter 99 Blue Jellyfish
The car stopped at the Limbaugh Villa.
Although it was not the first time Margaret was here, she still felt slightly amazed. Then, she sighed
internally, wondering that it must have felt good being rich.
"Excuse me, Larry, when will I be able to leave?" Margaret looked at Larry questionably.
She could not stay here forever, could she?
Larry responded apologetically, "I'm sorry, Miss Margaret. It depends on Mr. Limbaugh. When he
comes back, you can ask him personally."
After he finished talking, Larry went away. After all, he was not stupid. If he and Margaret were alone in
the room together, Mr. Limbaugh may feel jealous when he saw them.
Therefore, it was better for him to leave as soon as possible.
After Larry left, Margaret was finally alone for the first time in the day.
The interior design of the Limbaugh Villa was extravagant yet minimal, which made the space feel a
little unwelcoming.
The villa was enormous and there was not a single servant in sight.
Charleston seemed to be the only person living here. NôvelDrama.Org © content.
Margaret had been here once. Besides the part-timer working during meal hours, the villa was empty at
other times.
As Margaret sat alone in this big, empty villa, she felt a little uncomfortable.
Margaret was bored. She did not know where Charleston had gone either.
Sitting on the soft couch, fatigue from her long day finally caught up to Margaret. She dozed off in a
daze.
Not knowing how long it had been, Margaret finally opened her eyes, only to find a tall figure standing
in front of her.
"Mr. Limbaugh." Margaret woke up instantly. She looked at the man who was smiling faintly in front of
her. She then asked, "How long have I been asleep?"
"I've been here for ten minutes now," Charleston said with a smile.
Margaret suddenly felt a little embarrassed.
Charleston had been here for about ten minutes. In other words, she had slept for quite some time.
At first, she just wanted to take a nap.
She did not expect that she would accidentally fall into deep sleep.
Moreover, she had fallen asleep on someone else's sofa. Margaret suddenly felt very embarrassed.
"Ahem, then why didn't you wake me up when you got here?" Margaret cleared her throat.
Charleston grinned, "I couldn't bring myself to do so."
She looked very sweet and adorable when she was asleep, like a soft cake.
Charleston really couldn't bring himself to wake her up.
Margaret blinked her eyes in embarrassment.
"Do you want to go to the room and rest?" Charleston asked again.
Margaret waved her hand and said, "No, it's okay. By the way, Mr. Limbaugh, about the police..."
"Don't worry, I've already dealt with it." Charleston said, "I've seen the surveillance footage and found
out that it was the assistant who did it."
The assistant?
Zoey's assistant.
Margaret was not surprised. She said, "I heard that no one could retrieve the footage in Studio City that
easily."
She had read before about two actresses who had gotten into a fight. They wanted to watch the
surveillance footage to determine who was to blame for starting the fight. However, Studio City refused
to share the footage.
"Yes, but Studio City belongs to the Limbaugh family," Charleston said with a smile.
No wonder.
Margaret fiddled with her fingers and said bashfully, "I owe you another favor again. Charleston, why do
you always help me?"
Charleston kept silent. He only gazed deeply into Margaret's orbs.
He thought to himself, "Silly girl, I helped you because I want you to owe me a favor. This way, you
could return the favor by being mine."
"Are you not going to sleep anymore?" Charleston switched topics.
Margaret nodded and said, "I can't fall back asleep."
"Well then, let me take you somewhere," Charleston suddenly said as he let the air of mystery envelop
Margaret.
...
Margaret got into the car under Charleston's lead.
The car moved slowly through the night. It was a beautiful and serene scene.
Finally, it arrived at the famous Linger River in Asshington.
The Linger River scenery looked breathtakingly gorgeous at night. When the evening street lights lit up,
everything was reflected on the river.
"Why did you bring me here?" Margaret took in a whiff of the night breeze. Suddenly, she felt her entire
body getting embraced by an indescribable comfort.
The comforting feeling slipped into her bones and made her want to cry out.
"Do you like this place?" Charleston turned to look at Margaret.
"Yes!" Margaret nodded.
Charleston raised the corners of his lips. It seemed that Larry was right.
If a woman was not in a good mood, one should take her for a walk. This would be the best method to
lighten her mood and uplift her spirit.
"Oh, it's a blue jellyfish!" Suddenly, Margaret seemed to have seen something and pointed excitedly at
the river.
She unconsciously pulled Charleston's sleeve with her other hand.
The slight breeze gently blew on her soft, silky hair. This was a different kind of beauty.
Under the night sky, she was as pretty as a fairy.
Charleston's eyes took Margaret in slowly, like he was ponderously enjoying the finest wines. At last,
his gaze fell on Margaret's legs.
When he remembered how her legs had wrapped around his waist before, Charleston's eyes suddenly
darkened. He swallowed, thinking about the flashback that he had just gotten.
He turned his head away in an attempt to suppress the lust in his heart.
There was a yacht in the middle of the river and someone was proposing on it while holding a banquet
of blue roses.
The two embraced each other tightly amidst the cheers of the crowd.
"How romantic!" There was a hint of envy in Margaret's eyes.
All of a sudden, Margaret thought about her relationship with Zachary their during college days.
During that time, Zachary was extremely nice to her. He would get up at five in the morning during
winter and queue up to get some pastries from the street just because she said she liked them.
However, in the end, his feelings changed and he levitated over to Stephanie without so much as a
pause for hesitation.
This was why all relationships in this world felt like bubbles to Margaret.
Charleston noticed the change in her mood quickly. He grabbed her chin and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing..." Margaret took a deep breath and forced a smile. "I was just envying them!"
"There's nothing to envy about. This group of people is proposing while being surrounded by blue
jellyfish. Do you know that blue jellyfish are poisonous and would sting people? What if the good news
accidentally became bad news..." No one knew whether Charleston was comforting her, or trying to
scare her.
"Do you have to say that? How could you turn such a romantic scene into something so tragic?"
Margaret glared at him.
She was infuriated at his weird thoughts.
She was so angry that the little sadness she had about the past had dissipated.
"Is that considered romantic?" Charleston looked at the bunch of people.
"There's a real generation gap between us, Mr. Limbaugh," Margaret said helplessly.
She was no longer in the mood since she was interrupted like this.
Margaret walked into the car grumpily.
Charleston looked at the petite woman's angry figure and frowned a little.
Did she really like blue jellyfish that much?
