His Ex-wife Is An Heiress (Amara and Tobias)

Chapter 0078

Now here he was, after finally getting the courage to confess his feelings and her reply was a rejection.

He couldn't help but chuckle. "Seems like I lose this one."

Amara felt a sense of relief and cracked a real smile. "You'll find someone better."

His response was a simple smile. "Can we take a picture?"

The question came at random, but Amara didn't see any reason to reject it. If this was his way of parting with his feelings for her, then she'd gladly go along with it. "Sure."

With a snap, a photo was taken, one of her and Helios. The server returned just then, taking up Amara's attention while Helios got to work, posting the photo that had been taken on his social media account and smiling devilishly as he tagged his buddy-buddy, Tobias. After Amara had placed her order, Helios stood up. "I should let you eat your food in peace now. See ya around, Amara."

With that he walked away, leaving Amara to feast on the plate of spaghetti that was later severed, with utmost happiness. That happiness however, faded the moment she stepped out of the restaurant and was roughly yanked by the arm.

Her glare was directed to a pair of gleaming black eyes that belonged to Tobias.

"You-" Amara wanted to spark, but she knew better than to do that. Sparking never did any good for her at least when it came to Tobias's case. "Let go of me this instance, Tobias, or else the station would be getting another call from me."

Her threat seemed to have had the lowest effect on Tobias as he went ahead to completely ignore what she had said.

Instead, he asked. "You and Helios, what are you both doing here?"

The question caught her off guard and her face contorted into a frown. Firstly, how did Tobias know she had met with Helios and how did he know where to find her?

"And how does that have anything to you? Last I checked, I'm a single lady, I can meet with any guy of my choice."NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

"Not Helios!" Tobias's answer was sharp and he unintentionally squeezed her wrist. "Helios isn't someone you should be seeing. He's an illegitimate bastard, he's not going to inherit a single penny, thus he has nothing to offer you." Hearing Tobias's condescending words towards someone that could be considered his own friend in outsider's eyes, pissed Amara off.

She yanked her wrist free of his grasp and shot. "Do you think you're any better? You may have all the riches and fame, but you don't have a single sherd of humanity. Being with a 'nobody' would be damn better than going back to the likes of you." The strong jab of her finger into his chest played a huge roll in emphasizing her point.

Points that were rudely misinterpreted in Tobias's mind.

"So you'll settle that that illegitimate rat just because you can't leave with a man."

Amara couldn't stop herself from snapping. She groaned, loudly. Couldn't Tobias see how frustrating conversations like this were?

Couldn't he drop it? Or did he really derive pleasure from seeing her frustrated and close to smacking his head off his freaking neck all the time!

God was he so annoying, and today, his audacity seemed to be on a whole other level that annoyed Amara to the point that she was willing to do anything to get rid of him.

And a damn fantastic idea popped into her head when she heard the restaurant door open and out walked a fine specimen of a man.

Without second thoughts, she gave Tobias a looked that screamed 'You're not God' and walked up to the man.

Only a vague whispery excuse of "Sorry" left her lips as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulled him close and kissed him.
