Chapter 35
Chapter 35
Celia's struggle was obviously ineffective. Two people behind the man came up. They tied Celia up
without any more ado, and even blocked her mouth rudely.
Glenn looked at all this with his cold eyes. The coldness on his face was like the ice that never melted.
The man turned to thank Glenn.
"Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Cooper. I don't know what the relationship between you and this
woman. If she's important to you,I can write off all her debt with one stroke for your sake.”
Celia's eyes were suddenly filled with ecstasy. She looked at Glenn and pleaded him with her eyes.
But Glenn didn't even look at her. "I have nothing to do with her." He said.
The man was disappointed when he heard Glenn's words.
Two hundred million is nothing to him. If he can cooperate with Glenn in the future, it will be a steady
business. But he never thought that Celia is so useless. “What a stupid woman! Now that Mr. Cooper
doesn't want to protect her, I should just throw her to Vietnam.” The drug lord looked at Celia and
thought to himself.
The man knew that there wasn’t any chance to do business with Glenn. He didn't want to offend this
business tycoon. The man expressed his thanks again and took Celia out.
As for what would happen to Celia, Glenn didn't care. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Glenn stood still and watched the sunset for a while, then he walked to Emma's bedroom.
“Mr. Cooper, it's lucky that lady Emma resisted fiercely, so she only inhaled a little. Just wait for her to
wake up and observe for some time. She should be OK.” Said the private doctor.
“What about the baby?” Glenn asked.
“Uh um....the baby is fine.” The doctor hesitated and said. When Glenn called him, he also heard of
something from somewhere. It seems that the baby is not Mr. Cooper’s.
This made the doctor a little uncertain about Glenn's attitude.
Glenn beckoned to the doctor to leave. When the doctor reached the door, Glenn stopped him again
and said, "Don't say anything about Emma.”
-
Glenn sat by Emma's hospital bed, his eyes softened as he watched her in the sunset.
He held Emma's hand. And as if he had finally figured out something, he began speaking.
"Actually, I've been deceiving myself all these years. In fact, when I first saw you, I liked you a little. I
had never seen such a woman, living wantonly and actively. Just like a fire, you know? I was prejudiced
against you at that time, and in fact, maybe it was just out of envy. After all, I had always lived in a dull
life before seeing you."
“Emma…I’m sorry… I let the drug lord take away your sister. I don't know if you will hate me, but I must
do so for your future safety.”
“She said your child is Jamie’s...”
At this moment, Emma's eyelashes moved a little bit. But Glenn was immersed in his memories, he
didn't notice that and was still talking to himself.
"When I got the news, my heart seemed to be burned. I'm sorry. I really can't be so generous.”
What he didn't notice was that Emma, with her eyes closed, had a slight tremor in her knuckles.
