Chapter 654
"What is it?" Debra asked, trying to sound casual.
The nurse smiled warmly. "Mr. Lowe asked me to bring you this for your wounds. He said you should apply it yourself."
She then placed a tube of ointment on the table.
"Drake?" Debra muttered, not believing he could be so kind.
Still, she nodded politely. "Thank you. I'll use it later."
"No worries. I'll leave you to it," the nurse said, getting out of the room.
Debra opened the tube and brought it close to her nose.
She didn't know much about medicine. Toxins might be mixed in. It was better not to use it.
Making up her mind, she tossed it into the trash.
That night, Violet arrived at the docks of Seamar City. Stepping out of her sleek black car, she spotted two men leaning against a lamppost, smoking cigarettes. One was stocky, and the other wiry.
Her lips curled into a sneer. "Have you taken care of the matter?"
"We've been waiting here for two days," the stocky man said with a hint of annoyance. "But we haven't seen the woman in the photo. If we're staying longer, you should pay us extra."
Violet hired these two men from one of the city's underground casinos. They were desperadoes who would do anything for the right price. They had been lying low in Seamar City and had only become active with Edgar's arrival. Violet got into contact with them through her husband, who often gambled at their place.
"I already gave each of you ten thousand dollars. That's more than enough," she argued.
The two men exchanged a glance before the stocky one smirked. "20 grand to kilMr. Nichols' ex-wife? Yeah, we're doing you a favor. We wouldn't have taken this job if we weren't short on cash. And besides, our boss is coming back. We'll be pulling out and may not have time to finish the job."
"What?" Violet's eyes widened in panic. "In that case, you should give back the money."
She had used the 30 million dollars Melody gave her to pay off her husband's debts. If she didn't have Debra killed, Melody would hold her untable.
"Don't worry. We know the rules. Our men have been instructed to slit her throat the moment they see her," replied the stocky man.
Violet was finally relieved. That way, the task could be completed.
On the ship, an urgent knock on the door woke up Debra. "Ms. Frazier."
She threw on a robe and opened the door.
Lara stood there, looking anxious. "Ms. Frazier, we've docked. Mr. Lowe sent me to inform you."
Debra didn't expect the ship to dock so soon.
She grabbed her phone and handed it to Lara. "I'll eave the phone in your care. Probably, Drake will dismiss you soon Go to Seamar City and give the phone to Marion Houston, Randy Osborne, or Juan Nichols. They'll reward you. You won't have todo such dangerousThis is from NôvelDrama.Org.

Lara nodded quickly. She had only been hired temporarily, and once they docked, Drake would dismiss them.
