Chapter 298 Norah Is Well-Behaved After Drinking
Just as Shawn was about to say his wish, Norah suddenly reached out and covered his lips.
Meanwhile, Norah said, "Shhh! Don't say it out loud. Keep your wish in your heart."
"That won't work if you say it."
After watching the meteor showers, Shawn and Norah went back with satisfaction.
Then the two of them got in the car. The car started shaking because the road down the mountain
wasn't very smooth.
Thinking about the meteor shower she had just seen, Norah was still shocked.
"So you purposely brought me here to find the best viewing spot to show me the meteors?" asked
Norah.
Norah was no longer a teenage girl anymore. There was no way they would be so lucky that they
would happen to see the meteor showers while they were eating dinner.
"Well, you're getting smarter." Shawn pinched Norah's nose. Norah's heart couldn't help but skip a
beat.
The car went down the hill and then drove into a flat land. And the car started to speed up.
The temperature in the car gradually rose. Maybe because it was getting late, or she had just had a
drink, Norah felt a little bit dizzy, and her head was a bit heavy. And all she wanted to do was sleep.
"I'm so sleepy!"
Shawn immediately reached over, pressed her head against his shoulder, and said, "Lean on my
shoulder if you want to sleep." Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
Norah leaned on his shoulder. Then she closed her eyes.
As they waited at the traffic light, Anthony asked, "Mr. Lawson, do I still have to drive Miss Chase
home? Or should I drop her off at your place?"
"To my place."
"Okay."
Upon arriving at Shawn's place, Shawn noticed that Norah was sleeping heavily. Her face was flushed,
and she had a contented smile on her face. Seeing that, Shawn didn't wake Norah up and took her in
his arms.
Shawn carried Norah to his bedroom. He then placed Norah on the bed.
Shawn then scrubbed Norah's face and feet and tucked her in.
After that, Shawn looked down at the sweet and quiet girl sleeping on the bed. Then, he placed a kiss
on Norah's forehead.
Finally, Shawn gently left the room.
Norah slept deeply.
The alarm didn't even go off in the morning, so Norah slept a little longer.
Shawn didn't come to her until he thought it was too late and gently called out to her. "Norah, wake
up..."
"Wake up! You have to go to work..."
However, Norah, sleeping in her bed, didn't respond at all.
Shawn became anxious. When Shawn called out to Norah in a gentle voice, Norah didn't respond.
However, Shawn was afraid that he would scare her if he raised his voice.
Eventually, he came up with a good idea.
Shawn lowered his head and deliberately put his chin close to Norah. Then, he gently rubbed his
mustache against Norah's tender cheek.
Sure enough, it worked, and Norah soon woke up.
However, Norah was still confused. "What? Stop tickling me. Go away. Get away."
Shawn let out a low laugh. Then, he rubbed Norah's face with his mustache.
Norah immediately opened her eyes.
When Norah saw this scene and saw Shawn in front of her, she was in a daze. She didn't come back to
her senses for quite a while. She was dumbfounded.
"What's wrong? What are you staring at?" Shawn rubbed her hair dotingly.
"Why am I at your house?" asked Norah.
"You were drunk last night. When I saw you fall asleep, I brought you back to rest in my room."
"So did we...?"
She asked subconsciously and looked over at Shawn.
Norah knew that even if she didn't finish her words, Shawn would read her mind.
Shawn put on a smile and said deliberately, "I swear you're well-behaved after you're drunk. You didn't
go crazy. You didn't hug or kiss me. You didn't take the advantage to touch me and molest me."
Norah was speechless.
"That's not what I'm asking. I'm asking if we ever..."
When Norah asked the question, her little face turned red. Then, she mustered her courage and asked,
"Did anything happen between us?"
"Silly girl." Shawn leaned closer and pressed his cheek against Norah's. Meanwhile, he said, "No.
Nothing happened to us. You were asleep all last night. I slept in the guest room."
As Norah was about to breathe a sigh of relief, Shawn breathed in Norah's ear. "Although I had it on my
mind, and as much as I wanted to, I didn't want to make you suffer until I had your permission. And I
don't want you to regret it after you wake up."
"Thank you, Shawn."
Whether she was being a bit melodramatic or not, she thanked Shawn for respecting and tolerating her.
The two of them had dawdled a bit when they got up, so they didn't quite have enough time. They
hurried to the hospital without even having breakfast.
Since Dr. Hughes was going to be seeing patients as a specialist today, Norah was helping her while
learning from her.
The whole department was packed. Not only were there many people outside the door, but there were
also many people in the corridor. It was very crowded.
Dr. Hughes had always been kind. Whenever she saw a patient, and no matter how many patients
were queuing up, as long as a patient waited to see her, she wouldn't stop working until she saw the
last patient, no matter how late it was.
Dr. Hughes often finished his work at 1 or 2 p.m.
Norah didn't have breakfast today. Besides, she had been so busy all morning that she hadn't even
taken a breath. At that moment, she was starving.
She was lucky today.
By noon, there was only one last patient left. It was a lot earlier for them to finish their work than before.
Dr. Hughes smiled at Norah and said, "Go to the cafeteria for lunch first if you're hungry. You don't have
to wait for me. There are not so many patients today. I am almost finished with my work. Remember to
have breakfast on time from now on. Otherwise, you'll be exhausted when you are busy."
"No need, Dr. Hughes. It is almost over anyway. I'll wait for you to wrap up before I go for lunch."
At that moment, the door opened. The last patient sat in front of Norah.
However, Norah's eyes widened instantly when she saw the patient in front of her.
It was Lilian.
How could Lilian come here to find her?
How come Lilian kept showing up?
Lilian looked at Susie as soon as she entered. "Dr. Hughes, I'm here to see the doctor today. However,
I'm not here to see you. I'm here to see your student."
"Dr. Hughes, I know her. She's a bit of a lunatic. Just ignore her. Leave her to me."
After saying that, Norah pulled Lilian out of the office. Then, she found a quiet corner.
"Lilian, are you sick?" Norah looked at Lilian angrily.
How come Lilian kept haunting her like a ghost?
"Yes, I'm sick, and that's why I went all this way to find you to treat me."
"Lunatic."
After saying it, Norah released her and didn't bother to pay attention to her anymore.
Lilian was reluctant to give up and chased after her. "Norah, I'll give you two choices. Let's have a talk.
Or I will make an appointment and stand at the end of the line whenever your tutor sees a patient. And
I will call the hotline to make a complaint."
"Lilian, why are you so shameless? And, there's nothing to talk about between me and you."
"Really?" Lilian sneered.
Lilian reached out to calmly pull an item out of her bag and unfolded it in front of Norah. "Shawn gave
me this necklace the night of his accident. He gave me this necklace when I saved him."
"So?" Norah sneered and looked at her coldly. "So you think I should let you two be together because
of this necklace? Or do you think you can get between Shawn and me with a necklace?"
