Chapter 47 Too Gentle
Chapter 47 Too Gentle
After Abby walked out of the western restaurant, she walked straight back to the school gate. As soon
as she arrived, her cell phone suddenly rang.
She took out her phone and saw that it was Richard's call.

Abby was shocked. She didn't report for duty in time at noon, nor did she call him. She was doomed.
She picked up the phone fearfully, still thinking about how to explain it to Richard.
"Hello."
As soon as Abby finished speaking, with a swoosh sound, a motorcycle suddenly rushed out from the
corner next to Abby and rushed straight at Abby!
The motorcycle was so fast that Abby's attention was completely focused on how to explain to Richard
her absence this noon. By the time she realized it, the motorcycle had already hit her.
Abby shouted.
Abby was shocked. She had no time to dodge and could only let out a scream. Then the phone left her
hand and fell to the ground.
"Abby, Abby?"
Richard's voice came from the phone on the ground.
The motorcycle's owner had already sped away, leaving only white smoke all the way. He had no
intention of stopping to see the injured.
Abby fell to the ground. A large patch of her knee had been scrapped. The sand was mixed with the
wound, and thin blood was constantly oozing out from her white and tender skin. She was in so much
pain that she gasped, and her eyes were full of tears.
Misfortunes never came single.
She had just been threatened by Daisy and had yet to explain clearly to Richard. Now, she was in
trouble.
At this moment, before class in the afternoon, many students passed by the school gate.
Seeing this scene, many students gathered around and asked, "Are you okay?"
"Where did you hit?"
"Do you need an ambulance?"
"Thank you, everyone. I'm fine."
Abby smiled hard at them, with her knitted eyebrows tightly. Her knees were really hurting. She didn't
know if there would be any problem.
At this time, a man quickly broke through the crowd and rushed over, standing in front of Abby.
Abby, are you alright?
Abby raised her head. It was Edward.
Edward's face was full of tension. His usual calm smile disappeared. He was looking at Abby with a
face full of concern.
"I'm fine. It's just a scratch."
Abby endured the pain and smiled at Edward.
She put one hand on the ground and tried to stand up, but as soon as she exerted force on her leg, she
felt a sharp pain.
She felt her legs go soft. She let out a hurried scream and fell down again.
Standing by the side, Edward hurriedly reached out and hugged her waist.
"All right. I'll take you to the infirmary to bandage your wounds."
Edward bent down, carried Abby in his arms, and walked to the infirmary without saying a word.
"No, Edward, put me down quickly."
Abby felt very awkward. She felt uncomfortable when she had such close contact with another man
expect Richard. Especially with so many people watching, she didn't want to become a topic of
discussion because of this.
"No, your leg is injured. You can't walk on your own."
Edward's tone was gentle, but there was no room for rejection. Edward continued to stride forward.
Edward's arms passed through her legs, and his strong muscles stuck to her legs through the thin shirt.
She leaned against Edward's chest and felt his clear heartbeat.
Such close contact made Abby blush. Her body was stiff and tense.
Richard had warned her not to betray him. Now that she was suddenly held tightly in the arms of the
Edward, whom she had liked for a long time, she could not help but feel a little happy and a little...
Abby felt guilty.
There was a reason for this incident. Her leg really hurt. Edward just did a favor.
"I hope Richard won't punish me again because of this!" Abby prayed in her heart.
Soon, Edward came to the infirmary with Abby in his arms.
But after entering, the whole room was empty, and the school doctor was not there.
Edward frowned slightly and gently placed Abby on the bed.
"Don't move. I'll find you some medicine."
With a serious expression, Edward turned to look for the medicine.
Abby lay on the bed, not daring to move, but her eyes were fixed on busy Edward.
A few minutes later, Edward walked over with a bottle of potion, gauze, adhesive tape, and a few
bottles and cans.
Edward put the things on the small cart next to him, bent down, lowered his head, and carefully
checked the wound on Abby's knee.
"Abby, I need to clean your wound first. It may hurt a little. You have to bear with it."
Edward looked up at Abby and said with concern.
Abby nodded. "Thank you, Edward."
Edward glanced at her and did not say anything.
Edward picked up the tampons, gently wiped the wound, and carefully wiped the dust and sand in the
wound.
As soon as tampons touched the wound, Abby cried out in pain, and her legs couldn't help trembling.
Edward lowered his head and blew a few times on the wound. He even comforted, "It won't hurt
anymore."
Abby's face suddenly turned red. Such an action was too gentle and too close!
Edward was very careful. He did not notice Abby's strange expression at all. He only focused on
cleaning the wound, applying medicine, and then fixing the gauze. The whole bandage process was
completed in one go.
After bandaging the wound, Abby said gratefully, "Thank you, Edward. If you hadn't helped me, I
wouldn't know what would have happened now."
"Don't be so polite to me, but remember to be careful next time you walk. This time, it's just a scratch. If
it's more serious, I'll have no ways."
After hearing Abby's words, Edward showed a pure smile. Although there was some reproach in his
words for her carelessness, there was deep concern in it.
As Abby lay on the bed, she felt warm in her heart.
Although she knew that she should keep a distance from Edward, she was still grateful to him who
cared about her so much.
"Are you thirsty? I'll bring you some water."
Edward looked at her pale lips and stood up.
"No need, Edward."
Abby quickly shook her head and refused. She was too embarrassed to bother Edward.
Edward understood her expression and smiled. "It's fine. Wait for me here. I'll be back soon."
After that, Edward strode out of the infirmary. It was too late for Abby to stop him.
About two minutes later, the door of the infirmary was pushed open again.
Abby thought that Edward was back, but as soon as she raised her head, she saw Richard's slender
body.
Richard looked terrible and said nothing. He just stood in the middle of the room and looked at Abby
coldly.
