Damian’s Obsession

36

I smiled as I and Damian walked hand in hand around the beautiful streets of Paris. We were on our way back from the Eiffel Tower. I remembered the meeting of this morning and smiled happily.

I felt really happy today, not only because Damian had helped me make my dream come true but also because I got to spend this vacation with him.

I was really hungry so we stopped in a small restaurant to eat a quick lunch. We sat down close to the window and ordered spaghetti which was served in no time.

I picked up my forks and started eating. I paused when I noticed Damian wasn’t eating but rather, he was watching me.

“What’s wrong? Is there something on my face?” I asked as I touched my face.

“Yes.” He answered.

“Really? Where’s it?” I asked when I couldn’t find whatever he was talking about.

“It is all over your face.” He answered.

I started to panic. What could it be? “What is it?” I asked.

“Your beauty.” My eyes gleamed when he mentioned that.

No way. I could feel heat slowly creeping to my face. My face would have changed color to a bright red by now.

“How can you be so cheesy?” I asked as I tried to cover my red face which made him chuckle.

“Since it could make you blush really hard, I don’t think it is cheesy.” He answered, still laughing.

“I think it is really cheesy.” I said.

“I don’t.” He answered.

Sigh. He never lets any one get the last word so I decided to stop arguing with him. I picked up my fork and continued eating while he kept on staring at me.

“Eat your food before it gets cold.” I said when I couldn’t handle the stares anymore.

“There’s no problem. I’m already filled by just looking at your beautiful face.” He said.

Seriously?? He still haven’t stopped with his very cheesy pickup lines.

“Do whatever you want then.” I said as I decided to focus on eating my food.

He smiled and picked up his cutlery to eat too. Geez….. I thought he said he was filled already.

While eating, I was getting this cold feeling like someone was watching me. I decided to brush it off because I don’t know anyone here in Paris except for Damian.

When the feeling was getting stronger, I decided to look up and my eyes met with dark blue ones. He was a male in his early thirties with dirty blonde hair. He also had a small black mole on his left cheek.

At first, I had doubts that he was staring at me but his intent gaze started send chills down my spine. He kept on staring at me without even blinking until he gave me a devilish smirk.

“What are you staring at?” Damian’s voice jolted me out of out staring contest.

“Huh??” I asked as I turned my attention to him.

“What were you staring at like that?” He asked as he turned to look out the window.

“That man there has been staring at me.” I answered.

“What man?” He asked as he roamed his eyeballs every where.

“That man right….. wait, he is gone. He was just here.” I said when I couldn’t see the man anymore.

“You sure someone was staring at you?” Damian asked as he turned to search for the man that had disappeared.

“Yes. I saw him right there.” I said as I pointed to the tree he was standing in front of.

“You sure the said guy wasn’t just staring at someone else?” Damian asked again.

“At first, that was what I thought but the way he was staring at me was really weird. Like he knows me from somewhere.” I answered.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

“Do you know him?” Damian asked.

“No.” I answered.

“Why don’t you describe him then. He might be one of my boys that are watching us right know.” He said.

“You have guards watching us??” I asked in surprise as I searched around to see if I can find any of them.

“Don’t bother searching, you won’t be able to find them. They are all at a safe distance from us and they are dressed casually so they won’t stand out.” Damian.

“Okay. How would you be able to recognize him? It is not like you know the faces of all the people that works for you.” I said.

“Try me.” He answered.

“Okay. He is probably in his late twenties or early thirties, he was heavily built, he has blue orbs and dirty blond hair. Recognize anyone with those features??” I asked.

“Hmmm yeah. Matthew, only difference is that Matthew has brown orbs instead.” Damian answered.

“I know who Matthew is and that clearly wasn’t him. I almost forgot. He has a black mole on his left cheek.” I said.

Damian froze when I mentioned the mole.

“What did you just say??” He asked as he suddenly became very serious.

“I said he has a black mole on his left cheek. Do you know him?” I asked.

His face turned pale white when I said so. When he finally regained his composure, he turned to stare out of the window and searched around frantically.

“Come on, we need to leave now.” He said as he suddenly stood up from his chair.

“Why?? What’s wrong Damian?” I asked in confusion.

“Ask questions later Selina. Right now, we need to leave here.” He said.

“But…” “Let’s go.” He said in an unpleasant manner.

I decided not to argue with him. He paid for the food before we left the restaurant. When we got outside, a black jeep stopped in front of us.

“Get in.” Damian ordered and I complied without any questions.

He entered with me before the car zoomed off.

The blond man smirked as he watched Damian left with Selina in a panicked state.

“Can’t believe my name still brings fear to you Damian. You don’t need to be so alert yet for this is just the beginning Damian.” He muttered as he entered his own car before leaving.
