Chapter 65
A few other security guards nearby also walked to where the commotion was happening. Seeing how the situation was escalating, Rose let out a frustrated sigh. 'A peaceful day out without drama. I will be thankful for that.' she thought. Currently she was really angry with a lot of things and maybe it was due to the fact she was hungry. "What is going on here?" Another male voice asked. He was wearing a different kind of security guard uniform, which made it obvious that he was superior to the other security guards.
"Team leader, this young girl was caught trying to enter the VIP elevator. We were able to stop just before she could enter and we demanded an explanation from her. She claimed and said she is here because she has to do business on the VIP floor, but taking a look at her she doesn't look like she has business here. We tried to resolve the issue without using force, but just as my colleagues were about to grab she turned and he fell down." The first security who had been a witness to all that happened quickly told the team leader. "Young Miss, is what my junior said true? Why are they resisting when they told you can't go?" The team leader suddenly looked at Rose and was surprised to see who the lady in question was.
"It's all her fault that I fell down. If only she hadn't moved I wouldn't have lost my balance and fallen down!" The security guard pointed at Rose after the other security guards helped him up.
"I apologize about this, it wasn't my fault that he fell down and I wasn't trying to cause trouble." Rose said as she looked at the team leader while pointing at the fuming security guard. "I was about to enter the VIP elevator, but these two stopped me saying I don't look like the person that can go to the VIP floor. Understanding them a bit, I was about to give the branch manager a call but he suddenly reached out to grab me so I had no choice but to move aside."
"Don't listen to her! I'm starting to think she is dressed in expensive clothes just to fool us into thinking that she is from a wealthy family. She is obviously a scammer and fraud! How can a small brat like have the branch manager number? Do you know how many people are trying to get that number you claim to have so easily." The second security argued back at Rose.
"Just what is the meaning of this nonsense? Did you all realize that you're disturbing and disrupting other customers' business?" A male voice belonging to the floor manager rang out as he pushed through the crowds. He was in his office when he received a call from the receptionist informing him about the commotion that was happening in the lobby. So he had no choice to step out of his office and just like he had been informed, there was indeed a ruckus.
The moment the team leader saw the floor manager approaching. He quickly walked to him and bowed respectfully at him and gave a brief explanation of what was happening.
After gaining a clear knowledge of what was happening, he decided to approach Rose himself. "I'm Josh, the floor manager here. What is your name, young Miss?" He asked as he stood in front of Rose.
"Roseline." Rose curtly told him.
"Okay, Miss Roseline. I understand that you are requesting to go to the VIP floor but I must inform you that you can't. Please it would be wise to take your leave, we don't want to use force on a young girl like you." Josh commanded.
"You know the funniest thing, Mr. Josh?" Rose chuckled dryly as she looked at Josh. "I wouldn't be here if I hadn't received a phone call from your manager on my way to have a peaceful lunch." she retorted.
"You don't expect me to possibly
believe that a young girl like you has the number of our branch manager? Do you know how ridiculous it sounds?" Josh said in a stern voice, just like the security guards, he didn't believe that Rose really had the contact of the branch manager. Besides, he might be a floor
manager but he was very aware of all the VIP clients. Earlier when Rose introduced herself, she hadn't mentioned any other names for him to know if she came from one of the VIP clients.
"Well, aren't you supposed to give me a chance to prove myself? If I'm wrong then I would take my leave and not cause any more ruckus." Rose stubbornly refused to give in.
"Sir, don't listen to that brat. Ever since we have been here, no one has stepped out to claim as her guardian. She's obviously here alone which means she could be a fraud." The security guard suddenly said
Josh was conflicted at what to do at
this moment. What the security guard said was true. And seeing how the situation had caused a lot of crowds to gather. Everyone in the lobby was so focused on them to see how the situation would unfold. He was afraid that if the situation remained unresolved, his superiors would definitely hear about this and would have to come and handle this themselves.
If that happened, Josh was sure that he would lose his job. So he had to make a quick and wise decision.
"Alright, Miss Rose. I will give you a chance to call the manager as you intended to." Josh finally remarks.
"Sir, you can't -" The security guard was about to interject on the situation.
"Shut up -" Josh snapped at him, instantly shutting him up. He had already caused enough problems to begin with. He can't let a mere security guard tell what to do.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
