Betrayal At The Altar

Chapter 60

Chapter 60

Upon hearing her words, Mary Green stared straight at her, her red lips curling into a sarcastic smile.

It wasn’t difficult to guess who was behind the scenes orchestrating this.

With just a little thought, she could figure out that it was that idiot Olivia. She always didn’t know any better.

Thinking back to her words of warning to Rachel, she didn’t expect to be proven right so

soon.

Mary hoped that Olivia would be prepared to face the consequences of her actions.

“What are you going to do with her?” Mary looked and asked Rachel, who was next to her. Rachel’s lips curled into a cold smile, like a poppy blooming–charming and dangerous. “I’ll play with her.”

Rachel had thought that taking down the trending search on Twitter would have been enough to keep Olivia in line, but she had been proven wrong as Olivia continued to find ways to cause trouble.

Rachel turned and left. She took out her phone to send a message to Lucas, [Brother, do me a favor.]

In the next second, Lucas called her back and lazily said, “Rachel Grey, you’re the first person I’ve seen in my life who asks for help so shamelessly.”

“I’ll send you a document later. Please help me post a video on all major forums and include the title Entertainment Industry’s Popular Star Collaborates with Unidentified Criminals to Commit Assault in Public. Make the font bold and large. The more conspicuous, the better!” Rachel then said casually, “Also, please blur out my face to avoid my maternal grandfather finding out.”

Three minutes later, Lucas completed a task and couldn’t help muttering, “Do I really have to do this little thing myself?”

“If it requires Mr. Johnson’s help, it’s definitely not little,” Rachel said, hanging up and sending a document to Lucas via Whatsapp.

Mary took a deep look at her beloved car that was ruined, holding back her heartache, and caught up with Rachel’s footsteps. She said indignantly, “You should have revealed your identity earlier and humbled her. Let’s see if she still has the nerve to be so arrogant!”

“I was the one who voluntarily drew a line with the Johnson family,” Rachel said. “Moreover, the Johnson family forbids anyone flaunting their wealth.”

The origin of this family rule was entirely due to her mother, Sophia Johnson, who had been kidnapped by bad people when she was young. Even after her mother was rescued, her maternal grandfather hid all the news about her mother.

So whether it was the Johnson family’s heiress, Sophia, or the current Johnson family’s granddaughter, Rachel, very few people knew about them.

Meanwhile, Lucas received and opened the document. He watched the video content, and

there was no warmth on his handsome face, and a thin layer of ice seemed to cover his features. “She’s really asking for it!” RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

His clearly defined fingers swiftly danced on the keyboard, and with a string of intricate and complex codes, all the information about Olivia appeared before him. As his cursor scrolled through, a mischievous smile appeared on his lips.

“This is really interesting!”

On the other side, Eddie burst into the CEO’s office in a hurry after receiving the news.

Upon seeing Eddie’s rushed appearance, David showed a hint of displeasure in his eyebrows.

“Sir, Miss Grey has been attacked,” Eddie said, handing his phone over to David. “At 1:00 p.m. this afternoon, when Miss Grey was leaving the underground parking lot, she was attacked by unknown criminal forces. Fortunately, Miss Grey reacted quickly and was not injured. I have already sent our people to arrest the criminal group, and they are currently being interrogated.”

“Good job.” David returned Eddie’s phone.

Eddie humbly smiled and took the phone, and David’s cold voice sounded again as he did. “Tell finance to double your bonus this month.”

Wow, it turned out that everything revolved around Miss Grey. She was the wealth code that led to getting rich!

Eddie tried to suppress the smile that unconsciously appeared on his face and respectfully said, “Thank you, sir!”

“Control the online public opinion and do not affect her mood. I don’t want to see any comments about her.” David slowly stood up, putting his hand in his pocket. He walked toward the floor–to–ceiling window with long and steady strides.

Although it was just a brief sentence, Eddie could sense a strong sense of hostility in it.

He looked up at the man, and his gaze deepened.

Having followed David for many years, he had forgotten his true character. Perhaps it was because Eddie had been living comfortably for too long.

Under this mesmerizing appearance was a man who was vicious and ruthless.

Eddie lowered his eyes and replied, “Yes, sir!”
