Being Proposed to By a Blind CEO

Angry

“What are you doing here? Get out of here!”

“Honey, what’s wrong with you?” Gifer asked with a confused face. He came here to meet his girlfriend, but she kicked him out.

“You’re still asking, ask yourself that!” Belvina handed over a brown envelope containing all the photos of Gifer and Raya hugging each other rudely, right on Gifer’s chest which Gifer automatically received it with both hands because he couldn’t see what Belvina meant.

Anggi who heard the commotion outside the apartment instantly made her confused. ‘What’s going on?” she thought. He immediately approached his friend who was standing in front of the door with an angry face at the person in front of the apartment door.

“Who, Vin? Why are you so angry?” Belvina didn’t answer and went into the room with her irritation.

‘BRAK!’ The sound of the door being rudely closed came from Belvina’s room.

“Gif, it looks like Belvina doesn’t want to be seen first. Maybe tomorrow or sometime you can meet Belvina again,” Anggi tried to speak softly to Gifer and give him understanding. But Gifer did not agree with that. He shook his head. No, Gifer didn’t want a misunderstanding to make his girlfriend sad and crying because of a trivial thing. He had to first straighten out what the problem was that made his lover so angry and wanted to provide a solution so that their relationship could improve again.

“No, Anggi. Then allow me to solve this problem with you, and please help me to talk to Belvina,” Gifer decided after his mind and heart could be synchronized again. He didn’t want to lose Belvina like he lost Raya. He really loved Belvina.

Gifer is a loyal man, not like other men who like to hire bitches here and there to satisfy their desires. Gifer is not a cheap man like that. In fact, he could even kick Nara out because for Gifer, Belvina was the only one in his heart, not others. Anna nodded and invited Gifer to the living room. Gifer placed the brown envelope Belvina gave him earlier on the living room table.

“What is this?” Anggi asked. Gifer shook his head.

“I don’t know either, just now Belvina gave this to me. Please check, is this why Belvina hates me?”

Anggi immediately opened the brown envelope and saw several photos of Gifer hugging Raya in the office.

Anggi’s eyes were perfectly rounded, it was appropriate that her best friend was angry at Gifer, was it because of this? She thought. He began to explain to Gifer.

“So, this paper that you gave me is a brown envelope that contains several photos of you hugging Raya. Were you with Raya at the office today? Meeting secretly behind Vina’s back?” Anggi accused while raising her eyebrows in annoyance. Who wouldn’t be annoyed if her best friend’s boyfriend met her ex in the office secretly? With all the hugging, who wouldn’t be jealous of that? That’s what Anggi was thinking at the moment.

“That’s not the truth, Anggi. Please listen to my explanation first,” Gifer was already starting to panic. He didn’t want this misunderstanding to drag on and ruin his relationship with Belvina.

“Then what?”

“So, this morning, my secretary and I were talking about a file that we were going to meet with a client named Sergio. I asked my secretary to leave the room to finish the file, and when someone knocked on the door of my room, I thought it was Sekar, my secretary, because I couldn’t see I couldn’t be sure who it was because I thought Sekar had never entered my room, so I tried to open the door, but it turned out to be Raya.”

Flasback

“Who?” Gifer immediately released the event catching Raya’s unsteady body, as if it was a hug.

“Gif, it’s me, Raya. Sorry, I almost fell down earlier. I’m just here to tell you something very important. May I come in?” Asked Raya.

Gifer allowed Raya to enter his room followed by Haris.

“Gif, why did you let this granny come in anyway?” Haris whispered right in Gifer’s ear.

Now both of them were sitting facing each other. Next to Gifer was Haris who was ready anytime he was ordered to kick Raya out if she did anything bad to him.

“Shh, shut up, Ris!”

“Hah, alright.”

“What brings you here, Ms. Raya? Is there a message from Mr. Kevin?” Gifer asked. Raya wrung her hands nervously. She was still confused, should she tell Gifer about Indra’s father who was going to seize the company.

“No, Gif. Ah, I mean, Mr. Gifer. My presence here is only to inform you that Sergio, the client who will meet with you later is Indra’s father. Indra’s intention to approach me at that time until I seized the company was to fulfill his father’s wish to be able to buy all the shares in this company to enlarge his company’s finances. So, he would benefit, but the company would go bankrupt. It turns out that was the exact reason and his rotten intentions all along, sir,” Raya explained while still neutralizing her ragged breathing. Even so, she could still speak politely to Gifer.

For some reason, after not seeing Gifer for so long, the last time he met him was when he belittled the blind man, making him shrouded in guilt. He wanted to apologize, but the situation was not possible. He had to discuss this with Gifer first.

“Are you sure that you are not lying or twisting the facts, Miss Raya?” Gifer asked again to confirm whether his former lover was lying or not.

“I’m not lying, Mr. Gifer. I’m telling the truth. Last night when Indra and I were having a drink together, that man got into a rage and told me the whole truth. I wasn’t drunk, so I could still hear clearly what he said, Mr. Gifer. Please, believe me this time.”

After what Raya said, Gifer was now in his company’s meeting room together with Haris and Sekar. Sekar finished presenting the materials for the sale of the dolls, but Mr. Sergio’s side was not discussing about the sale of the dolls that would be exported abroad, but the direction of the conversation gradually led to the shares of Gifer’s company which made Gifer think that this was out of business. Gifer was not stupid enough to know what was the difference between business between companies and selling stocks. That made Gifer a little furious and diverted Mr. Sergio’s intention to buy Gifer’s company shares.

“Sorry, Mr. Segio. But we were talking about selling dolls, not shares of this company. Even if I wanted to sell shares, I would probably buy your company, but not now, because buying shares would still require billions of dollars and that would take a long time,” Gifer sarcastically told Mr. Sergio to stop talking about shares.

“Ah, so that’s it,”

“Yes, but if you don’t want to, then no problem, so our business agreement is canceled. Thank you. Sekar, clean up all the meeting supplies and return to your desk.” Gifer’s order was immediately obeyed by Sekar.

“Yes, Mr. Gifer.”

Sergio and Indra looked annoyed with Gifer’s disrespectful treatment. He kicked the meeting room table with his face red with anger.

“Ris, that means what Raya said was right, Sergio is terrible if we don’t understand the meaning of his tricky words.” Gifer confirmed what Raya said earlier before the meeting started.

“Yes, Gif. This time Raya didn’t lie, but, what was Raya’s motive for leaking all this to you?”

“That’s what I still don’t understand.”

Now, Belvina had joined them in the living room. Anggi allowed the two people to solve their problems with a cool head without emotion. Anggi was in the middle of them. When Gifer was explaining, Anggi dragged Belvina’s arm to listen to all of Gifer’s explanation so that there would be no misunderstanding.

“Ah, so that’s the story,” Belvina’s voice made the corners of Gifer’s lips turn up.

“Vin, did you also hear my explanation?” Gifer asked.

“Yes, I heard it. But I’m still angry,” Blevina pressed her lips together in annoyance.

“Ekhm, that’s it. I’m going to go first so I don’t become a mosquito,” Anggi moved from her seat to the room.

“Heh, don’t be like that, Gi!” annoyed Belvina.

“Alright, you stay here. I’m sorry that you misunderstood me because of that picture. That was Ray…” Gifer’s words were cut off because Belvina’s index finger was already on his lips.

“That’s it, I trust you.”

“Thank you, baby,” Gifer hugged Belvina’s body on the sofa in the living room of Belvina’s apartment.

“You know, what remains a question is, who dared to spread the news in the media and even sent it to my apartment after all. That’s strange. It’s still a mystery, isn’t it?” Asked Raya.

They both frowned at each other thinking about who was behind all this.
