Vampire University

Chapter 10 Fear

Hailey’s Point of View

When I came down, I was immediately greeted by the cold stares of my friends.

“Good morning.” I said and forced a smile.

I waited for them to answer, but they were unable to utter a single word.

“Did I do something wrong?” I asked them.

“Why are you avoiding me?” They just remained silent.

It was as if I had no one standing in front of me. I was like the air in their eyes.

When I sat down in the chair, they walked away. I hastened the meal.

I hurried upstairs to my bedroom and put on my uniform. When I came down, they were gone.

I was walking towards the classroom when I noticed Raine heading to Bloody Jail.

I secretly followed her without her knowing. I also noticed she was holding a white flower.

She stopped the pile of land and placed the flower on top.

“Forgive me.” Raine said.

“If I hadn’t been a coward, I would have been able to defend you.”Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

Pain and anguish were evident in the tone of her speech. Then I realized that she was crying because a demon had killed her friend.

Her friend who poured me juice I suddenly felt pity for her.

Is it my fault that this happened? Why was I not able to stop Demon before he was able to kill the woman?

“Get out of your hiding place!” Raine shouted.

She already knew that I was following her.

“Raine, it’s me.” I said and came out of my hiding place.

“Why are you following me?” She asked.

“Maybe you’re happy because you see me crying.” She added.

“I feel the opposite.” Her eyebrows met.

She says, “I don’t want your pity. Go away. Leave me alone.” I shook my head.

I said, “I want your forgiveness. I don’t want your friend to die.” She laughed out loud.

She insisted, “Don’t lie. I know you want me to be hurt.”

I noticed the bleeding on her hand. I was about to touch it when she shook my hand.

I saw a machine attached to both of her hands.

“The Demon you see is nothing more than mascara.” She says.

“You don’t want to see the true Demon.”She warned me.

“You saw these hands? It’s already a machine because Demon mercilessly cut off my hands. ” Her tears began to flow.

“I did everything to get to the high position, but Demon didn’t stop until he knocked me down.” She continued.

“Why did he cut off your hands?” I asked her.

Her hand was replaced by a machine. I didn’t notice that she went through a harder time than I did.

What did I do with it? I didn’t think about how she felt because I put myself first.

She couldn’t continue what she was going to say when Raze and Demon arrived.

“Raine, go back to your classroom.” Raze commands her.

Before Raine left, she looked at me first. Her eyes begged.

“What are you doing here?” Demon asked.

“Now you’ve seen Raine’s best kept secret. You’ll discover many more secrets. ” Raze said.

I didn’t even look back at Demon. I’m going straight for a walk.

I hadn’t gone far when some students were shouting.

Their attention went to me, which surprised me. There was a student who dared to talk to me.

“Queen, help Raine.” She said

“What do you mean?” I asked in astonishment.

“The demon is beating her now.” She complained to me.

“Where are they?” I asked again.

“They are on the back of the university.” She replied.

I immediately hurried to run to the back of the university. I found out that Demon was hitting Raine.

Using the whip with a thorn Raine’s whole body was full of wounds.

I would have approached them, but Raze stopped me.

“Let me help her.” I insisted.

“Aren’t you afraid of demons?” He asked.

“No one tried to approach Demon when he was torturing a student.” He explains.

“I won’t just watch until he kills Raine.” I say emphatically.

“Even if you’re alive, is the replacement?” He asked in a serious tone.

I said, “I’ll take my life if I just let that student die.” He smiled at me.

I moved quickly and I grabbed Demon’s hand so he stopped hitting Raine.

He looked at me sharply, as if to tell me to stay away from him and not to interfere.

I said, “You’re doing it wrong. It’s not right for you to kill a student. ” He laughed.

“Who are you to tell me I’m doing something wrong?” He asked.

It’s as if he’s a demon with what he’s doing now. I don’t know if I’m doing it right.

“You must be scared of me.” He says this in a horrifying tone.

“How can I be afraid of a person who wants to kill a student because his heart and emotions are already hurting?” He gripped my arm tightly.

He says, “I’m Demon. I don’t have a weak heart and I don’t have feelings, so don’t say I’m hurting now. ” He was lying.

“Are you really not hurt or do you just want them to be afraid of you because you don’t want to be hurt again? ” He struck the whip on the ground.

“How many times do I have to say I don’t feel anything?” He insisted on denying the truth.

“How many more student lives need to be reduced and die just to cover up how you feel?!” I shouted at him.

He raised his whip and whipped Raine again. I ran fast and I blocked my body.

I just closed my eyes. I was just waiting for the whip to leave my body.

“Stupid girl.” Demon says, disgustedly.

He did not continue to hit me. He was already walking away from us. Even Raze is no longer here.

“Let me help you.” I said.

I led her until we got to the clinic.

“Nurse Ally, help her.” I ordered.

“Who are you to command me?” She asked.

“I am the queen. You must obey my orders. Obey or die?” I said, bravely.

She quickly supports Raine. She laid it on the bed and gave Raine first aid.
