Chapter 523
Chapter 523
She was on the verge of a meltdown, berating herself for having chosen to work with Penelope. This
spoiled girl from the Flanagan family was not just overly sensitive but also stubborn, with a rude
character and dismal professional competence. She could almost hear Patty’s laughter in her ears.
Despite the fact that Allison’s past as a housemaid had been exposed, there were hardly any negative
comments about her on the internet. On the contrary, most people were giving her credit for achieving
success through hard work.
The majority of the comments were praising Allison for her beauty and kindness.
The Public Relations team was in tears. “Charlie, we can’t control the public opinion.”
Charlie lit a cigarette. Her phone was buzzing like crazy. It was Penelope calling. She knew that
Penelope must be raging like a fly on a hot pan, ready to explode at her. This spoiled brat had no
manners. If it had not been for the fact that she was the future lady of the Lindberg family, Charlie
wouldn’t have bothered. She picked up the call, and put it on speaker. Sure enough, Penelope’s voice
came through. She demanded that Charlie sort out the situation immediately. She didn’t want to see a
single negative comment about her, or else she would ask Charlie to get out of Epic Entertainment!
Charlie scoffed, and hung up. “Then we are not controlling it.”
The PR team looked at Charlie.
Charlie said, “After all, they’re criticizing her, not us. She’s the one who posted on Twitter, bought
trending topics, deleted comments because of her fragile ego, confronted the marketing accounts, and
scolded others.”
The PR team nodded. In fact, they were tired of dealing with Penelope’s temper. It was a thankless
job.
Allison had just finished lunch. When she checked the trending topics, she didn’t expect things to have
escalated to this extent.
Emma on the other side said, “What’s gotten into this spoiled brat? She’s like a mad dog, biting
everyone in sight.”
On the other hand, Patty, being the professional agent, immediately contacted Allison’s college and got
in touch with the vice-principal. Patty’s network was extensive. Even the vice-principal happened to be
an old friend of hers. After a brief conversation, Patty smiled. “Well, I’ll treat you to dinner later.”
“That’s very kind of you.”
Later, the official Twitter account of Willowbrook College posted a message, “Allison graduated from
Willowbrook College in July last year. She was an outstanding student who received several
scholarships.”
Patty, using Allison’s studio Twitter account, retweeted this and added, “I once worked for the Flanagan
family. Thank you to my Alma Mater for your nurturing.”
With these two simple sentences, she addressed two issues. Allison admitted to having worked for the
Flanagan family and having been a housemaid. She graduated from the design department of
Willowbrook College.
The internet was flooded with comments.
“Allison is so much better than Penelope. She worked to pay for her education while Penelope is just a
spoiled brat. She’s just jealous of Allison!”
“Isn’t she just! Penelope is just jealous!” This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
“I’m also a student at Willowbrook College. I’ve seen Allison a few times. She’s really beautiful and
gentle. I heard her mother is not well, and she used to work part-time in the library.”
“I’m also a student of design at Willowbrook College. She indeed used to work in the library. She even
issued my library card.”
“Allison is really great. I always thought she was a lady from a rich family, but it turns out she’s just like
us, a regular person working hard.”.
“I’m falling more and more in love with Allison!”
“Penelope is so annoying!!”
“I’m so happy. I’m also a student at Willowbrook College. I’m so excited to be in the same school as
Allison!”
A blogger named “Fresh Daisy” commented, “My goodness, Penelope used to bully Allison quite often
because she is from the Flanagan family. What’s wrong with Allison working to earn money? It’s not like
money falls from the sky! Everyone knows Penelope leads a messy private life. She’s been with many
men. From middle school to high school, her boyfriends could form a soccer team!”
