Chapter 290
Chapter 290
Eileen was about to agree when Ariel interjected, “Ms. Eileen, your room is separate. We have already prepared it.”
Eileen said, “There’s no need for that. Could you please cancel it for me?”
Eileen arrived with just one suitcase, as she didn’t bring much luggage. The room she was assigned to was quite spacious.
Delilah informed Eileen, “Once you finish tidying up, I’ll introduce you to two people. They also came with Professor Combs and, based on seniority, they are your fellow senior apprentices.”
Eileen asked, “Where is Professor Combs?”
“He went to meet with several leaders from Pillere Art Academy. He has a social engagement tonight and might return late.”
At that moment, there was a knock on the hotel room door. Delilah went to answer it and found the hotel’s concierge and room service staff.
After a brief exchange, Delilah called out to Eileen, who was inside the room, “Eileen, they’re here to see you.”
Eileen put down what she was holding and approached the door.
Delilah looked at her and asked, “Do you need my help with translation?”
Eileen smiled slightly and replied, “No need to trouble yourself. My Uprian is quite good.”
During the conversation, no one noticed the furrowed brow on Delilah’s face.
Eileen also noticed that the clothes rack by the door was filled with the latest seasonal trends. From dresses and outfits to lingerie, everything was tailored to her figure. There was also a considerable amount of makeup and bags.
All of these items were prepared according to the standards of a presidential suite. However, their room was too small to accommodate everything
Originally, Eileen only wanted to take a few sets of clothes, but they insisted on opening another room for her, turning the hotel room across the way into her personal wardrobe.
Eileen didn’t want to spend too much time on this matter, so she simply went along with their suggestion.
After sorting everything out, Delilah took her to the restaurant downstairs.
As they headed towards a corner by the floor-to-ceiling windows, Delilah introduced her, “These are the two seniors I mentioned. This is Grayson Zarate, and this is Isaac Travers. We’re all in our third year at the academy.”
The moment they saw Eileen, they were filled with awe and admiration.
Eileen shook hands with them and greeted them.
After they all took their seats, Grayson said, “I never expected you to be even more beautiful in person. Eileen.”
Isaac laughed and agreed, “Indeed, now that Eileen is here, it seems like the title of campus belle has found.

Eileen maintained her smile throughout. She wasn’t skilled at socializing, so her hands under the table

were clenched cautiously.
“You two must be exaggerating.”
“We’re just being objective, Eileen. There’s no need to be modest. By the way… I heard that all the expenses. for our trip, including this hotel, were covered by the Smith family. If it weren’t for our good fortune, we wouldn’t have been able to stay in such a nice hotel. We owe you our thanks. Let’s raise our glasses to Eileen.
As he spoke, Grayson grabbed Eileen’s glass, poured a drink into it, and then raised his own.
Eileen had no choice but to go along.
Isaac turned to Delilah, who was sitting silently beside him. “Delilah, why are you staring? Raise your glass!”
It seemed like Delilah had something to say, her eyes filled with unspoken words. However, she remained silent and simply raised her wine glass for a toast.
Eileen, always perceptive and alert, noticed the hint of dissatisfaction in Delilah’s eyes.
She just didn’t understand where Delilah’s dissatisfaction was coming from.
Eileen subtly lowered her gaze, concealing her emotions.
During the meal, Grayson and Isaac chatted with Eileen and shared gossip about other people at school.
Eileen responded half-heartedly and occasionally asked a few questions.
Delilah suddenly spoke up. “It’s getting late, so I’m going back to my room to rest. You all continue eating. I’ll take care of the bill.” With that, she waved her hand.
Eileen stood up. “Allow me to pay. It’s my first time meeting my seniors, so it’s only right that I treat you.”
Grayson, sitting next to her, grabbed her wrist and made her sit down. “How could we let our junior pay? Don’t worry; we have enough funds for this outing.”
The blonde-haired, green-eyed restaurant manager approached as Delilah was about to pay the bill.
To everyone’s surprise, the manager said, “Mr. Smith is a valued member of our hotel, so his wife can also enjoy our full services. All your expenses are covered; there’s no need to pay. Additionally, you may enjoy all the entertainment provided by our hotel.”
After the manager finished speaking, Delilah, Isaac, and Grayson simultaneously turned their Eileen.
Eileen remained silent. This indeed seemed like something Jasper would do.

But for some reason, the more Jasper did for her, the heavier the burden she felt in her heart. Even though he thought what he was doing was right and proper, she still felt indebted.
After finishing their meal, they returned to their respective rooms.
Delilah barely spoke during the meal. Eileen, following behind, was sending messages to Jasper.
Delilah took her pajamas from the wardrobe and headed to the bathroom.
“Why aren’t you staying in the room I arranged for you?” His voice sounded somewhat weary.
Eileen replied lightly. “I’m not the only one who came this time. There are other students of Professor Combs staying in standard rooms. If I stay in such a high-class room by myself, people might accuse me of seeking special treatment. When will you come over? I… miss you.”
As she uttered those three words, Eileen could feel her heart pounding in her chest and her breath hitching.
Jasper chuckled softly, “I miss you too. Give me a few days to sort things out here, and then I’ll come over to be with you. By the way, shall we make up for our missed wedding night, hmm?”
A blush instantly heated Eileen’s face, making her feel somewhat shy.
She gazed at the stars in the sky, realizing that it must already be daylight in Hulbury.
In an unfamiliar environment, with no familiar faces around, she felt a sense of emptiness in her heart.
Jasper said. “Try to get some rest earlier. I’ll give you a call tomorrow.”
“Okay.”
“Good night.”
After ending the call, Eileen went back to the bedroom. Half of the room’s lights had already been turned off. Delilah had finished her shower, tied up her hair, and was lying in bed reading a book. Without looking up, she said, “I’m used to sleeping with the lights on at night. I hope you don’t mind.”
Eileen replied, “That’s fine.”
Delilah turned a page of her book and continued, “Also, about the skincare products on the table, I made some space so we can share them equally. Most of the items on the table are yours, so I moved some into the drawer when there wasn’t enough room.”
“Okay.”
Eileen’s initial impression of Delilah was that she was somewhat difficult to get along with. There was a certain aloofness about her.
Perhaps she’s a little cold towards me because it’s our first meeting. We probably just need some time to adjust and get along.
Eileen didn’t pay much attention to these matters.
Eileen walked out of the bathroom with her hair wrapped in a shower cap. She then moisturized her face and applied body lotion.
“How much longer until you’re done?” an impatient voice interrupted.
Eileen quickly responded, “You can go to sleep first. I’ll go to the room across to blow-dry my I don’t disturb you.”

Delilah didn’t say anything else. She put down her book and turned off the bedside lamp. hair and returned, it was already midnight. Delilah turned over in her sleep. Eileen tried her best to be as quiet as possible as she lifted the covers, leaving a lamp on as she went to sleep.
