Master of his heart (Brielle and Max)

Chapter 849

"Thanks," she murmured as she slid into the passenger seat.

The driver glanced at her in the rearview mirror for a brief moment before asking, "Where to, Ms. Brielle?"

After Brielle gave the hotel's location, the man hesitated, then suggested something unexpected. "Mr. Lynch owns a villa nearby. It's always kept ready by a caretaker. If you don't mind, Ms. Brielle, you might find it more comfortable to stay there." Brielle paused, taking a second look at him. He smiled, a mix of shrewdness and reassurance in his expression.Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

"I've been with Mr. Lynch for five years now, and I've never heard him mention any other woman while at work. So I figured you must be special. Even if Mr. Lynch found out, he wouldn't blame me for suggesting it."

Now Brielle was curious. How had Dustin spoken of her to this man? Was there a misunderstanding about her relationship with Dustin?

After all, Dustin was known as North America's ultimate playboy, and she had already experienced his charm during their first encounter.

But Dustin did have one redeeming quality. Despite his notorious reputation, no woman had ever come forward to accuse him of being a heartbreaker. Brielle had never seen any such scandal in the news during the time she'd been paying attention. It seemed that Dustin, for all his apparent casualness, was selective and discreet.

The chance to stay at Dustin's villa wasn't something she would turn down. It might even give her an opportunity to uncover more clues.

So, she agreed, first stopping by the hotel to pick up her small suitcase before heading to the villa.

Dustin's villa was even closer to the sanatorium, likely chosen for its convenience in keeping an eye on the Lynch family matriarch, Desiree. Once inside, Brielle couldn't resist asking about the Lynch family.

"With Owen stepping back into the fray, do you have any idea how Dustin is taking it?"

She knew it was a probing question, and after a brief contemplation, the man simply replied, "Mr. Lynch will return."

It was a diplomatic way of avoiding her question. Brielle wasn't one to push; she let it go.

"Ms. Brielle, if you need anything at all, just call me. I've sent my number to your phone."

"You have my number?"

"Mr. Lynch had it noted down before."

Brielle was momentarily speechless, her heart aching with a mix of emotions. After a moment, she felt compelled to clarify.

"Dustin and I aren't involved in the way you might think."

The man chuckled softly, realizing the misunderstanding, and quickly retrieved a small, elegantly wrapped gift box from a cabinet.

The box was palm-sized and looked very refined.

"Ms. Brielle, this is a gift Mr. Lynch asked us to prepare for you," he said as he placed the box before her and then respectfully exited the room. Brielle sat on the sofa for a while before opening the gift box.

Inside was a miniature model of a private jet, studded with diamonds. The jet was painted a soft pink, its diamonds sparkling with purity. She was stunned, cradling the tiny jet in her hand and examining it closely, almost in disbelief.

The craftsmanship was exquisite, bursting with a youthful charm. Even though Brielle never had extravagant help

The jet was encrusted with diamonds that dazzled brilliantly under the light.

Brielle couldn't help but ponder, recalling Dustin's words about the Lynch family's grand jet prepared for the missing princess, adorned with diamonds. He had hoped his sister would one day return home on that plane, but for years, it had never taken flight.

Now, Dustin had prepared such a thoughtful gift well in advance, indicating to those around him that his intentions toward Brielle were unique. Everyone knew about the Lynch family's warehouse-kept jet that had remained grounded for over two decades.

By gifting a smaller model to

acknowledging a resemblance he

saw in her to his beloved sister.
