Love you, Anna
“I’m sorry,” Anne said softly. A look of regret immediately appeared on her face. She did feel guilty for how her actions had disrupted Kaivan’s life in recent times. “I deliberately lied so that you would help me. From the beginning, I was instructed to seek refuge in your hotel. But-”
“But why did you have to falsely claim to be pregnant with my child?” Kaivan quickly interjected. Frustrated because of this lie, his life had been turned upside down. “Why not just ask for help without trapping me?”
“Are you sure you would have helped me right away? Especially since this issue could endanger your life? I wasn’t sure about that.” Anne hesitated. “You have no idea how confused I was back then. I had to think hard to capture your attention. As far as I knew, at that time, you were also close to another woman.”
“So, you intentionally claimed to be pregnant with my child to get my attention focused on you?”
Anne nodded again, confirming Kaivan’s statement. There was no other choice. That was the only way to draw his attention.
“I briefly studied your background. I searched for a way to meet you in person. Until finally, that night at a Bar in the Le Meridien Hotel, we met.”
“Hold on a second.” Kaivan interrupted. “As far as I remember, I never met you there.”
Despite his many changing partners, Kaivan never forgot who he had dated. He even remembered the women he had met. He was quite certain that he didn’t encounter Anna Maria that night.
“Do you remember the short-haired woman who introduced herself to you?”
Kaivan closed his eyes for a moment, trying to recall all the events he had experienced that night.
“The one who handed me a glass of margarita?”
Anne nodded rhythmically.
“Yes, I intentionally wore a wig that night.”
“Oh my goodness!” Now it was Kaivan’s turn to exclaim. “As far as I remember, after drinking that margarita, I forgot everything. When I regained consciousness, I suddenly found myself in a hotel room. But I indeed didn’t find anyone there. Did we really do it that night?”
Anne immediately shook her head.
“No. As you’ve felt all along, we never did anything before. You never touched me, let alone impregnated me. That night, I intentionally took you to the hotel room. I took pictures as if we had just engaged in a physical relationship-”
“And what about your pregnancy test?” Kaivan impatiently asked. His mind was now filled with many big questions. “Steve even said that you were pregnant. The ultrasound machine even showed the same thing.”
“No. It was all a fabrication,” Anne whispered. “Even when you took me to one of your friend’s clinics to have the pregnancy checked, I had arranged it all.”Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.
“What do you mean?”
Anne then reminded Kaivan of the time they had visited a clinic to check her pregnancy. When the moment came for Doctor Steve to ask for Anne’s personal information, she requested permission to fill out her details herself.
“Before I proceed, may I know your name and age for the patient’s information?” Steve asked while taking a pen from the pocket of his doctor’s coat.
Anne nodded.
“Of course. But can I write my own information?”
Steve nodded.
“Go ahead.”
Anne straightened up again. She reached for the sticky note and pen that Doctor Steve offered her. It was clear that she was very serious about filling out her complete information. When she finished, she quickly handed it back.
“Thank you,” said Steve. Shortly after, he carefully read the information Anne had written on the special patient sheet. Instead of providing her personal information as requested, she had written a short message.

“Does that mean Steve was lying to me too?” Kaivan asked after listening to Anne’s explanation at length.
“Doctor Steve only helped me. After we left the clinic, he even contacted me. He asked for an explanation about the intention behind the message I had written. And yes, I explained everything.” Anne then reached for Kaivan’s wrist. She gently squeezed it and spoke softly.
“Forgive me. I truly apologize for everything I’ve done that might have made your life chaotic over the past few months.” Tears escaped from Anne’s eyes without her realizing it. She genuinely felt regret for all her actions towards the man who now was her husband. “I don’t mind if, after this, you want to divorce me, or even hate me. Those would be the consequences of my actions-blatantly lying to you. But please…” Anne’s voice grew hoarse. “Don’t kick me out of here until all the missions assigned to me are completed.” Anne then scooted down. Unbeknownst to Kaivan, Anne knelt down while continuing to apologize and beg. Her actions touched Kaivan’s heart deeply.
“Anne…” The man murmured as he gently pulled his wife’s shoulders, urging her to rise and sit beside him again. “Stop this. You don’t need to kneel like this.” It had been said that Kaivan’s weaknesses in this world were two: women and tears. He truly couldn’t resist when it came to these matters.
“I’m willing to do anything as long as you’re willing to forgive me and continue to protect me until all of this is resolved.”
Kaivan took a deep breath before responding.
“I will help you solve this problem.”
“Do you forgive me too?” Anne whispered.
Kaivan nodded again. He understood the circumstances that led her to lie.
“I have forgiven you. And I will continue to protect you, and I’m even ready to help you resolve all the issues that are currently happening. I promise. But…”
“But what?” Anne asked, worried.
“Never, under any circumstances, try to lie to me again.”
Anne nodded. She intentionally threw her arms around Kaivan, feeling relieved that he finally forgave her and was even willing to continue helping her.
“Does that mean I was the first one to touch you?” Kaivan suddenly whispered.
Anne looked up. Blushing, she answered shyly.
“Yes, you were the first man to touch me.”
Unconsciously, Kaivan’s lips curled into a smile. Hearing that he was the only man who had ever touched Anne’s body made him feel proud.
Putting aside all his ego, without hesitation, he reached for Anne’s body again. He reciprocated the hug she had given him earlier.
Seconds turned into minutes. There were no words, just a silence enveloping them both. Until eventually, who initiated it first wasn’t clear, but two pairs of lips met again. It only took a few seconds for their lips to connect, and then they seemed to compete in moving together. Kissing, nibbling, sucking, taking turns exploring each other’s mouths. Even more than that, every touch didn’t take long to ignite another wave of desire. The postponed intimate activities were finally resumed.
Kaivan was utterly captivated. He felt enchanted as he saw Anne lying beneath him, surrendered. She was relishing every touch he bestowed. The blush on her cheeks only fueled his desire to explore every contour of her body that was laid out before him.
So, in the next moments, Kaivan resumed exploring Anne’s body. They were united as if they never wanted to be separated again. He wanted to imprint every sensation his wife gave him onto every nerve in his body. He truly wanted to adore and savor her until the very last drop.
Sweat continued to pour down, moistening their unadorned bodies. In the subsequent moments, Kaivan and Anne experienced the same sensation. An intoxicating feeling that led them to embrace each other once more.
“Anne…” Kaivan whispered. “I love you.”
