Chapter-46: Naomi
"Are you okay?" Lyceon asked Allison before checking her from up to down for any injury. Allison startled but turned to him and nodded.
"Come, I want you to meet some important people here!" Lyceon stated before ushering her towards the elders but she interrupted him. "I...i need to use the restroom first please!" She let out. Lyceon stared at her for a second and nodded. "Alright, but take Rebecca with you. I can't take a risk with your safety tonight!" He stated, gesturing towards Rebecca who was on talk with the warriors.
Allison nodded and sauntered to the spot where Rebecca was standing. Rebecca eyed her at the same time as Lyceon's mind-linked her.
"You are perfectly in one piece. I'm intrigued." She commented, chuckling before walking beside her to the restroom.
"Were you expecting me to have some colourful experience here?" Allison asked. Rebecca chuckled again.
"No! I was just expecting you to find your mate tonight!" She said simply, twisting her lips. Allison snorted.
"And I expected you to come with your mate tonight!" Allison countered.
"That..... May be impossible. He is such a proud and persistent man." Rebecca sighed. "Even After I rejected him."Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
Allison parts her lips in surprise. How could she reject her fated just like that? "That's insane. Why did you reject him? You could have talked to him if there is....."
Allison stopped talking, guessing why Rebecca might have rejected her mate. For Lyceon!
She knew Rebecca liked Lyceon but this.. it's too much to disregard your destiny over some silly obsession. Though She saw the sadness in Rebecca's eyes for a second before it was gone.
"One shouldn't deny your destiny! Your soulmate, Rebecca. Moon goddess has given you a mate for some purpose. Don't deny the mate bond. It won't go well." Allison said, stopping and looking into her eyes.
"You are more intelligent and mature than me. You should have thought about his feelings too. What if he gives you more love and respect than you imagined from getting someone you like? Don't push your happiness away. Talk to him." Allison Advised. Rebecca stared at her and asked curtly,
"Really! What would you do if you were in my situation? Would you accept someone you don't like as a mate? Would you give him a chance, forgetting your true love? Do you value mate bonds more than your feelings?" Allison contemplated answering her. But still she shared her thoughts.
"I... would give him a chance because I believe in destiny. It might be difficult to make a fine decision but I would never deny the mate bond, I would let him prove himself. Because It's not his mistake that he is my mate." Allison nodded before, stepping near her and touching her arm. Her words were giving a reality check to Rebecca.
"It's not your mate's mistake that you believed Lyceon is your everything. You are hurting your mate, Rebecca. Your feelings towards Lyceon might be sincere but they will go to waste. You are hurting yourself in the process too. We find our fated mate by good luck. Don't lose him if he is the one for you."
Rebecca didn't say anything but stared at her for a while. There she wasn't ready to accept her mate but Lyceon. And here Allison was not ready to accept Lyceon even if He was her mate. Destiny plays a dirty game sometimes. Rebbeca sometimes wished Allison had another mate for her so that she could Have Lyceon but it was impossible too because she knew Lyceon and Allison were destined since the time she looked at Allison that night. And Lyceon never liked her that way since the beginning except as a friend.
Rebecca knew They were made for each other to rule over. They were fated to carry out the prophecy made years ago to save the supernaturals. But Allison was unaware of it yet.
Rebecca sighed and went to the Lavatory not dragging this topic. Allison shook her head following her. Her phone beeped when she was setting her hair on the mirror. She pulled out her phone and read the message. Her eyes widened in horror.
Allison tensed and walked silently out of the washroom without waiting for Rebecca. Frantically, She was dialling a number when someone yanked her body back from behind making her yelp before she was dragged somewhere. Allison was pulled upstairs to the small open balcony by some woman.
"Hey, leave me!" Allison yelled. But then she gasped as she abruptly turned around to see the woman in the red gown who left her near the fence of the balcony.
"You..." Allison was astonished.
"Noami, what are you doing here? And where is...." Allison almost exclaimed but Naomi shushed her. Her honey-brown eyes scanned the surroundings before she whispered to Allison.
"Allison, we don't have much time to talk. That serpent woman might come for you soon so let me speak first. Alpha Ralph didn't allow Nora here as he reckoned you might be here with the Dark Lord. Not that he would have brought her because he came with only a few pack members in a high-ranking position. He didn't want another bloodbath by the King's hands in case he upset him so he prohibited Nora from coming here."
Allison understood that Alpha Ralph didn't want any scene here. Naomi was allowed because she was the best female warrior of her pack and was the mate of the delta from the midnight crescent pack. "Are You okay? I heard about your...
"It doesn't matter. I'm here because Nora instructed me to inform you of something important!" Naomi said curtly, evading the question about her deceased mate. Allison nodded with a high heartbeat as she sensed something was off. "We have made a plan to get you out from the clutches of the Dalk walkers!"
Naomi disclosed making Allison gobsmacked. She had long forgotten about the escape since she came to know about the secrets and prophecy thing of the Dark walkers kingdom. She had a few mysteries to unravel yet relating to her fate, powers and the prophecy so she couldn't leave right now. But her friends were hell-bent on making her run out of the kingdom for her safety.
"And it will be executed tomorrow when the Dark Lord and his sister will be away from their place."
