Don't Try to Escape, My Wife!

Chapter 1821 This Is My Assistant

Chapter 1821 This Is My Assistant

“Where did the Young Master go?”

“No idea. Haven’t we been here watching altogether?”

These two looked at each other, with helplessness written all over both of their faces.

Lucas immediately found a shortcut after he left. However, he cracked up when he found out it was

actually on the mountain.

So my brother Joseph was really into this kind of life.

As soon as Lucas went away, he ran into Kylie Gust at the mountain foot.

The moment he saw Kylie, he was a little shocked. He paused and couldn’t help but wonder if Kylie

was coming here for Joseph.

Kylie was not surprised at all to come across Lucas here, she was all smiley, “Are you with Joseph?”

“No, I’m not.”

Lucas couldn’t tell Kylie where Joseph was right now. But his eyes rolled around quickly, and he said

with a soft voice, “My dearest Kylie, can you please do me a favor?”

The Young Master of the Green family rarely asks for help, which everyone knows. But now he was

asking her, Kylie couldn’t be more surprised.

“What’s wrong?”

Kylie asked in such a gentle and elegant way. Lucas was a bit shied, “I wanted to meet Yasmeen

Shaw. Is there any way to arrange a secret meet-up with her for me?”

“Of course.”

Kylie chuckled.

Lucas had to admit that Kylie was truly a beauty, just as classy and elegant as her name. Her presence

was gentle, pleasant, and soothing.

Kylie and Joseph would make a perfect love story if they got together.

Lucas pondered the idea of this while he thanked Kylie, and got on her car.

Their car was on the way to the Military Hospital.

Lucas briefly talked about Yasmeen’s kidney donation in the car. He mentioned the upcoming surgery

as well.

Kylie was a bit in shock. Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Even though one could live with only one kidney, not everyone would be willing to put themselves

through a risky donation surgery.

She tilted her head and glanced at Lucas. The men of the Green Family were the ones who made

women go through thick and thin for them.

Perceiving Kylie’s gaze, Lucas felt a bit awkward and changed the subject of their conversation right

away.

“When is the wedding ceremony held for you and Joseph?”

Kylie’s face turned slightly rosy when being asked about this.

“We haven’t got a plan yet. Why asking so?”

“My brother is quite reserved with his feelings, but it doesn’t have to be the man’s job to pop the

question, right?”

Kylie nodded.

Joseph was never a romantic. He could be quite dull.

Even Lucas could see that she was into Joseph - Kylie found it unbelievable that Joseph just barely

caught her obvious hints. All he could think about was marrying Mia Gust, the shameful daughter of her

dad’s mistress.

“Only if your brother was as sensitive and smart as you are.”

Lucas sneered, “Well, sometimes playing dumb was just his disguise. Don’t be fooled.”

Were these two truly brothers?

Kylie glanced at Lucas and she didn’t reply.

But she got off in an alley nearby the hospital when they almost arrived.

This was beyond Lucas’s expectations. And Kylie whispered, “Put this on. I will help gear you up for

this.”

Looking at what was in her hands, Lucas was puzzled.

“What’s the matter? Don’t you want to see Yasmeen?”

“Right.”

Lucas quit saying anything else, went ahead and threw on whatever Kylie had prepared for him.

A short while later, Kylie brought him into the Military Hospital along with her.

The Military Hospital was a lot more rigorous than before. They examined everyone that was entering

and exiting.

Lucas was worried. Kylie gave him a reassuring look and led him over.

Kylie pointed at Lucas standing next to her when she was showing them IDs and credentials, “This is

my assistant.”

The guards took a look at Lucas.

Lucas could feel his heart racing. He knew these two people in front of him, and they met often.

However, they somehow didn’t recognize him. They just glanced at him, “You may go now.”

Kylie brought him in hurriedly.

Lucas was so confused, but Kylie giggled, “You will have to tell me which room Yasmeen is in first,

though. Then we can go find her.”

“Room 307.”

Lucas said this within a blink.

Kylie brought Lucas to Yasmeen’s room. Jaydon happened to be there, too. Yasmeen was delighted

when they saw Kylie show up.

“Kylie, it’s you! How did you know I’m here?”

Yasmeen was so excited and she just ran to hug Kylie.

Kylie was almost knocked down by her. She put on a forced smile, “I heard that you were weak. Where

did this strength come from?”

“No, I’m not. Who gave you the false news?”

Yasmeen was really happy.

Here at the hospital, Yasmeen’s mom and little brother were keeping a close eye on her as if she was a

fragile doll. She was wishing for some fresh air of freedom, and gladly Kylie came to visit.

Kylie felt for Yasmeen. Kylie let go of her and said with a smirk, “Hey, quit being mischievous. Haven’t

you thought it through before you decided to donate one of your kidneys to Lucas?”

“You knew about it, too?”

Yasmeen was quite upset about this.

She signed, sat on the bed, and said with a pouting mouth, “I could live with just one kidney, but he

would be dying without this transplantation.”

“Well, you will still be alive, but not as healthy as before. You used to be so active and vigorous, but

now you are quiet and debilitated.”

“What’s wrong with being quiet? People would love the way I am now instead of the way I used to be.”

Yasmeen was reminded of how those trophy wives were fawning on her then and chattering about her

in disgust behind her back.

Before Kylie could react to what she was saying, Lucas added, “Stop caring about what others think of

you. Mind your own business. And you living a happy life matters the most. It’s your life, after all, you

are responsible for your own happiness.”

Yasmeen knew this voice. She was so stunned - She stood upright on the bed, and there she saw

Lucas standing behind Kylie. She had her mouth wide open in surprise.

“Lucas?”

At the time, Lucas was wearing a princess dress with long brown hair. He even had make-up on. There

was no way Yasmeen could tell it was him if Lucas hadn’t spoken at all.

Yasmeen had always known that Lucas was good-looking, but it was beyond her imagination that

Lucas actually would look stunning disguised in female attire. The only defect would be his taller height.

Yasmeen was looking at Lucas in a dress, the back and front, over and over again. In the end, she

giggled.

“It’s really you! Who did this to you? Oh my goodness, you are such a gorgeous lady. Let me take a

closer look at you.”

In the meantime, Yasmeen stood on tiptoes and reached out her fingers to pinch Lucas’s chin, and kept

on teasing him.

All of a sudden, Yasmeen felt a tight grabbing on her waist. Lucas held all of her in his arms and

whispered in her ears with his husky voice.
