A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 103

Chapter 103

On the other end of the phone, Yoel was still rambling on.

Sage felt anger ripple through her and rage throbbing in her like a heartbeat. Tightening the grip on the phone, she seethed, “Go f*c k yourself!”

She then ended the call. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Seeing how Sage’s face was overcast, Leah was startled but soon got worried about her. “What’s wrong, Sage?”

As soon as she ended the call, her phone rang again but this time, there was no caller ID and a string of numbers that Sage was ever so familiar with.

Clenching the phone in her hand tightly, Sage felt the situation ridiculous.

If she was right, this was the first time Jace had actually called her first.

Letting out a sigh to calm herself, Sage answered his call…..

As soon as the call was connected, Sage heard that deep and husky voice of his. “Hey.”

He sounded as if he had just woken up.

Indeed, Jace had spent a night in the car and he had just woken up.

He wanted to call Sage last night but it was already too late in the night and he did not wish to bother her. Yet at the same time, he did not want to spend the night at a hotel as he wanted to be able to see her the first thing in the moming and talk things out with her.

‘Jace Yuriel.” Sage called out his name slowly. It sounded as if she was trying to repress herself. “Let’s talk.”

At that moment, the gate of Rosa Garden residence opened and Sage was seen walking out.

The car door was open and Jace was still sitting inside. Watching her getting closer and closer toward him, closing the distance between the both of them.

Zayne was already standing outside the car to greet Sage. “Good morning, Mrs.Yuriel.”

Sage stopped in her tracks and glanced over at him. “Who are you calling Mrs. Yuriel?”

:

Zayne cracked into an awkward smile. “Please.”

In the car, Jace held out his hand to Sage, thinking of giving her a hand. “Come on in.”

“Can you make some space?”

Sage did not need his help at all.

Jace did what she asked and moved to make some space for her. Sage got into the car and closed the car door behind her.

At the Rosa Garden, Leah was waiting for Sage by the garden. Upon seeing her getting into the car, Leah asked worriedly, “Will Sage be okay?”

With a straight face, the bodyguard had his gaze fixed on the car and replied, “Don’t worry. I’ve got everything under control. If ma’am doesn’t get out of the car, I will not let the car leave.”

Leah nodded. Sage only told her that she needed to meet a friend and she only needed a moment.

But judging from the look on Sage’s face, Leah thought that Sage looked more like she was about to meet her sworn enemy rather than a friend

The woman that he had been missing and thinking about was sitting right next to her and for some reason, Jace felt oddly nervous as his heart was beating uncontrollably against his chest.

“You…” asked Jace awkwardly. He had a lot to say but he could only ask, “Have you eaten?”

Both Zayne and the driver had gotten out of the car leaving only Jace and Sage in the car. Sage, on the other hand, glanced coldly at him and did not reply to his question. The air turned awkward. Jace was overwhelmed. He had always been the type to be calm and composed but right now, he suddenly did not know what to do or say.
