Chapter 539: She and the Child Are Mine!
Chapter 539: She and the Child Are Mine!
"Are you familiar with them?"
"Yes." Jessie asks, "Where are they? Are they okay?"
Chace hesitates for a moment before he says, "I had someone investigate them. I just received news
that one of the two died in the hospital from serious injuries and the other in a car accident. The ashes
were placed in the funeral home."
There is a sudden silence on the other end of the phone.
"Kelsie?" Chace tentatively calls. "Are you alright?"
"They ... are dead?" After a long time, Jessie says again slowly, "They are both dead?"
Chace hurriedly says, "There are too many people with the same name in the country. Perhaps the ID
numbers you gave me are wrong. Think carefully, and I'll have someone check it again."
"The numbers can't be wrong ... I didn't pronounce the ID numbers wrongly...." Jessie suddenly weeps.
It sounds she is trying to suppress the pain. "Why are they dead? They were all the relatives I had...."
Something occurs to Chace, and he pats his head hard.
If he had known that these two people were her relatives, he wouldn't have told her the truth so bluntly.
"Don't ... don't cry. Perhaps my people have made a mistake," Chace comforts her gently. "I'll have
someone check again. It's my fault. I told you before I knew their identities."
The weeps on the other end of the phone turn into wailing, as if she doesn't hear what Chace says.
The heartbreaking sobs make Chace anxious and distressed.
He hangs up the phone and calls the servant who takes care of Jessie, asking her to go upstairs to
check on her as he walks towards the private room.
After entering the private room, Chace smiles apologetically, "Sorry, I have to go. I'm in a hurry to catch
a plane. Have fun, everyone."
He takes his coat on the sofa and is about to leave.
Leigh glances at him. "Are you going to Country Y to see your girlfriend?"
"Yes, I said something wrong that made her cry ... I'm so annoyed!" Chace scratches his hair in
frustration. "Anyway, you should take care of your guests."
Leigh shifts his gaze away, not bothering to care about him.
Chace is anxious and doesn't notice that his coat has been taken upside down. As he walks,
something falls out of his coat.
The item bounces a few times on the carpet and stops beside Leigh's leather shoe.
The lights in the private are bright. Leigh sees something by his shoe and subconsciously bends down
to pick it up.
When he sees the sunflower made of gem on the carpet, his pupils contracts.
It was a gift to him from Jessie.
At that time, the shopping guide of Van Cleef & Arpels said it was a collaboration design, and that there
was only one in the world!
When Chace sees Leigh pick it up for him, he tries to snatch it from his hand and says, "Thank you,
buddy. I have to go...."
"Where did you get this jewel!" Leigh interrupts Chace, still tightly holding the sunflower. He doesn't
mean to give it to him. "Who sold it to you?"
Seeing Leigh's red eyes and his stern expression, Chace is frightened.
He thinks that Leigh is joking with him, so he pleads, "Stop kidding. I really have to go."
He tries again to snatch away the sunflower.
Leigh grabs Chace's wrist and demands, "Answer me! Where did you get it?"
"Holy shit. It hurts!" Chace feels that his wrist is about to break, so he shouted, "My girlfriend gave it to
me. Leigh, don't take a fancy to it. I won't sell it."
"Where did your girlfriend get it?" Leigh asks. "What's her name?"
"I don't know!" Chace gasped. "Let go of me first. My hand is really going to break. Damn."
"What's her name?"
Chace screams in pain and surrenders. "Kelsie, her name is Kelsie."
"Kelsie," Leigh murmurs. He realizes that it rhymes with Jessie. He suddenly remembers the painting
he brings home, and his breathing became rapid.
"Did she draw the painting I brought home?"
Chace was shocked. "How ... how did you know?"
Sure enough, it's her!
Leigh does not expect that the person he has been looking for so long is actually around him.
She once was only separated from him by a wall!
"Take me to her!" Leigh forcefully drags Chace away, his footsteps as fast as the whirlwind.
He takes out his phone and calls his assistant, telling him to send a private jet as soon as possible.
Chace smiles apologetically at the guests in the private room, telling them to have a pleasant meal.
After being dragged out of the room by Leigh, Chace is still confused. "Leigh, why are you in such a
hurry to see my girlfriend? Did she steal the jewelry?"
Leigh turns around and looks at him. His gaze gloomy, he grits his teeth and says, "She didn't just steal
the jewelry!"
Chace is dumbfounded.
What does Leigh mean? Is Kelsie a recidivist who specializes in stealing?
Leigh emits a dense hostile aura, causing people to stay away from him with fear. Even Chace does
not dare to provoke him.
When the private jet arrives, Chace boards and sits down, not daring to ask anything.
The helicopter, Gray Shadow, borrowed from the military base is extremely fast. They arrive in Country
Y in just three hours.
The private jet lands on the open lawn. The rotational relative wind is so strong the lawn is almost lifted
with loud rumbles.
Chace gets off the private jet and is about to tell Leigh how awesome the helicopter is, but when he
turns around, he sees Leigh walking towards the house.
He doesn't even bother to ring the doorbell. He picks up the fire extinguisher in the safe house and
smashes the lock of the door. The force is extremely fierce.
"Damn you! Are you crazy?" Chace is shocked and rushes over.
Before he can say anything else, Leigh has broken the door lock, opened the door and stepped in.
Chace curses inside that this fellow is so efficient, and hurriedly follows him in.
On the second floor, he finally finds Leigh in the master bedroom, while the servant protects Jessie and
curls up beside the bed, trembling.
When the servant sees Chace, it's as if she has seen a savior. "Sir, your ... your friend...."
"It's okay. He's just drunk." Chace hurriedly pulls Leigh's sleeve and persuades, "I will pay you at the
price of whatever she stole from you. Look at how frightening you are."
"Let go!" Leigh shakes off Chace's hand and stares fixedly at the woman behind the servant.
He has been looking for her for so long, but he doesn't expect her to be hiding here.
This damn woman!
Leigh's chest heaves violently. He has long forgotten what he has said before. He strides over, pushes
the servant aside, and gets Jessie off the bed.
"Keep hiding. You're very capable, aren't you?"
Leigh gets even more furious when she keeps her head lowered in silence. "I'll break your legs when
we go back. I'll see where else you can run to!"
When Chace realizes what's going on, he immediately goes up to stop him.
"Leigh, are you crazy? She's pregnant, and she can't see. Why are you yelling at her?"
"Mine!" Leigh shouts angrily at him.
Chace is confused, "What ... what do you mean?"
"She and the child are mine!" Leigh grabs Chace's clothes and pulls him closer. His eyes are scarlet.

"Is she...." Chace looks at Jessie and asks, "Is she the person you've been looking for?"
Leigh draws nearer to him and demands with gritted teeth, "Did you touch her?"
Chace is frightened by him. His entire body trembling, he stutters, "No, never...."
